Your keen buddy I will give ya that.

Too farking hot to be fooking around with a car today.

Get a black car. Problem solved.

Hahaha.

I have a black car. I wash it and within 3 days of just sitting in the driveway, not even being driven, it's filthy again.

The dirt kinda adds to the sleeper look.

Wasn't too bad, was in the shed, with a couple of big fans blowing. Im also not a big girl.:nyaah: I kid , I kid.

Im also a BM/W By trade, so I LIVE in hot work all the time.

I only didn't get the trans cooler done today, once last minute christmas shopping was done and christmas eve with the family.

Ill get the cooler started tomorrow arvo and then monday, just in time for JAF's end of year cruise here in SA. Biggest run of the year. Also the first time the wife and I have done anything by ourselves in 8 months since our son was born, so should be a good night.

Yeh and not to mention the need for it to be precisely level to get the fluid spec bang on ;)

Using a tom thumb pump, so has the measurements on the side. Level's are perfect haha

(Tues)

Carried on with mocking up all the bits to support the new turbo.  Started on the top side of the dump. Was all going well till I used my thumb for the earth lead for my tig so called time and will crack on later in the week.

It's a pretty tight fit but should turn out well. Wastegate outlet is going to be a challenge but should be nice and short and able to enter the dump at a fairly shallow angle.

(Today)

Has some family free time today so got to crack on with the lower section of the dump. It's longer than usual as it also deletes the cat.

The extra whoop dee doo's in the middle and to tuck it up for clearance and also give me more clearance for the steering rack and steering shaft.

Not the best pic but the previous dump sat well below the rail at this point and was forever dragging on driveways/speed bumps/etc etc and the cars not even that low.

Unfortunately I was about 15deg short of all the bends I need (used an entire 3.5' doughnut) so had to pie cut and section a piece of straight tube to take up the gap.
I'll weld the join between the down pipe and lower section last so I can clean up the transition between the bends and the sectioned straight piece after its all welded out.

Now onto the next challenge..the wastegate piping...

Wasn't fav colour pick, but when it was a one owner completely stock with a T56 gearbox and premium sound had to snap it up.

My old BF F6 was shockwave now that's my a time fav ford colour.

There were only 2 stock bf mk2 xr6t's for sale in sa when I was looking a couple of years ago. Dozens of modded ba's though lol.

Mine was just under $12k and the other was nearly $14k.

So much to do to the car over the next few weeks

1. Drop turbo and manny of and replace all studs and nuts

2. Bleed brakes

3. Sound deaden the boot/rear parcel shelf and the front doors completely

4. Remove expansion and modify thermo housing for overflow

5. Remove wipers/fix and repair sh*t paint. Repaint and bake and replace

6. Install solid front diff bushes

7. Finish custom icc. Remove crappy screen and fibreglass 3 52mm gauges and single din unit to it

And that's a start but couldnt be arse so spent the day snorkelling instead :D

So all in all I did nothing to the car today......again :/

How's ya boosted falcon, Marco?

It's still boosting hard. My android app called fuellog says my economy has been worse since getting it tuned recently. I am not 100% sure that it is a fuel economy issue. Might have something to do with a lead foot.

so how is your boosted falcon? I have read that you now have a boosted falcon too. Does it have it's own parking spot in the under cover carpark?

Whats that Fuel app called

As mentioned above, fuellog, but you have to be deligent and enter all entries.

Buy the full version to support the guy. I also backup my entries every couple of months and then save it to my server.
