What sort of racing had you planned to do? If it's anything to do with circuit racing and the car's not road registered, Don't bother with a 4L turbo. CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motor Sport) The governing body controlling motor sport in Australia will not allow a race car to be log booked If it calculated engine capacity exceeds 6000cc. Unfortunately a turbo multiplies the engines capacity by 1.7 which make the calculated capacity 6800cc. How ever if you supercharge it, The capacity is only multiplied by 1.5 making it 6000cc.

I think the op needs to work out what he wants the car for. ie street car, race car or burnout car etc

if street car he needs to talk to an engineer before spending any money and find out what is passable, but be warned, builds like this can take years to do and laws may change from start to finish.

if race car, what sort of races and what class, he will need to talk to the relevant controling body and then build it to the class rules, which may limit engine size, setback, suspension mods etc.

If burnout car, just build it safely and do not expect to use it anywhere else but a burnout comp/demo

good luck with the build if serious

Somethin to keep the back wheels from lifting off the ground.

Maybe a TE cortina a better option as engine bay is big enough for a 250 crossflow, might have more chance getting one of these in there.
