No lifting today.

Also I've only got doms today and no extra shoulder pain. Thank fark for that and hopefully it stays that way.

I'll just be a bit more careful when upping the weight. Just cos I could do heavy weight for reps doesn't mean my joints or ligaments were ready for it.

I'll probably will use a much higher volume program soon like I did for the first 4 months or so to grow some muscle before getting back to strength training again.

Anywayzzz I'll be back at it tomorrow for some more upper body gainz.

After my week off of the gym, first day back was difficult, to say the least... Massive delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) on Tuesday. Went to the beach and got mildly sunburnt on Tuesday as well haha. Was a super fun day. Then smashed Wednesday's workout right in the face and finished it 10mins early. Feeling good today :)

Elbow is rooted from doing dips the other week so that means no upper body work for another week or so.

I was supposed to be benching etc today but instead I just did some deadlifts.

After I warmed up I pulled 190 for a single. 210 wouldn't go up but 200 was going up ok and I would have locked it out except my grip started failing half way up so I bailed.

After that I pulled 160 for 7 and left it at that.

My shoulder is ok now so I'll just train deadlifts and squats/legs for a while.

Am I even gettin there?

good question... but any lifting is good lifting :showoff:

also, was doing lat pulldowns yesterday and felt a twinge in my rear left deltoid to oblique area but powered through it... thought fark it, why not, as it wasn't too painful... today - nothing :) lucky, probably.

Haha I am gettin there, of that there is no doubt.

Doing those dips without warming up wasn't a good idea though. I'll remember that next time lol.

Just a teeny bit of squatting today. One set of 10 with 120kg. No benching, no deadlifting, no pressing, no curling, no rowing....no anything except squatting.

The elbow is getting better and the shoulder is pretty much fine. It's frustrating not be able to make gainz as quick as I was but when ya gotta rest, ya gotta rest.

fair dinkum... I tried a couple more bits of complex movement with the kettlebell and today I have harsh DOMS in my left shoulder... hopefully haven't done any long-serving damage... it doesn't seem that bad, in terms of movement, so it should just be DOMS... hopeful haha
