Reverse Sensors

Hey guys

I had ford fit aftermarket reverse sensors to my ute. They mounted them on the lower bumper about 30cm from the ground. The install instructions says to mount them between 50 and 80cm. They are useless they always pick up the ground and dont work at all if I have a load in the tray.

Ford put me on to the installer and he said that's where they put them on all the utes and they never have problems with them. Has anyone had after market reverse sensors fitted and where abouts are they mounted?

I really need some feedback so I can go back to ford and the installer and tell them where others have had them installed and if they have problems with them.

Thanks

Sam

I have them on my ute, only time I have issues is when reversing say out of a driveway and its steep, the sensors hit the road and go off. Also there bloody loud!

I think anywhere else though and theyld look pretty average. And mounting them in the tailgate would be a monster job.

Out of interest, what brand/model of sensors have you both got? And is it a display inside the cab or just noise? Cheers in advance.

got them on the sedan FG and work a treat, will check height for you but could it possibly be due to control module thingy not being that great compared to factory item ? :mexicanwave:
