I try to type as fast as I am thinking (and cannot type) and never use spell check. Always in a rush.

Worm I pity you. I have run & owned a few restaurants, as well as taught at tafe. Kids today cannot add up at all. I will see them waiting for the till to add a bill for two peoples lunch. 2 plates and a couple of drinks. Maybe a bread. FFS not a chance they can or even will try to attempt to add it up in their head.

Interesting enough - I think spell check has actually helped my spelling!

I'm 26 and we didn't use computers at school until I was well into high school - so we had to learn to read and write the "hard way".

I was always an excellent reader and writer but I wasn't the greatest speller. I've been working on/with computers since I was in YR11 and whenever I typed anything I took notice of how spell check corrected my words and I tried to remember that for next time. Been doing that for years and it really helped me out! Now days I can type almost as fast as I can think and very rarely have to rely on spell check to correct my work.

I hate txt talk and don't put up with people using it when communicating with me. Type/write properly or GTFO....

When I send a SMS I always type everything out in full. No auto word either. English is a retarded language anyway.
