BA auto and manual both share the same 3.45 ratio diff.

BF manual 3.73; ZF auto has 2.73 diff.

How much power do you have, and auto or manual.

IIRC

Ba 4 speed auto 3.44

Ba 5 speed man 3.44

Ba/bf 6 speed man 3.73

Bf 6 speed auto 2.77 (super low first gear in the ZF)

I ran 4.09's with a t56 and is was super punchy on the street but a tad short on the strip but my T56 has the following ratios

1st 2.97,2nd 2.07,3rd 1.43,4th 1.00,5th.8,6th.62

the stock ratio are

1st 2.66,2nd 1.78,3rd 1.3,4th 1.00,5th 0.74,6th 0.5

IMHO the lower gear set is better suited to the stock 3.77 final drive ratio.

the stock ratios with 4.09 would probably be quite good if you do the maths the difference between the 3.77 and 4.09 is only 7.9%

just depends what you want. The stock g/box ratios and the stock diff ratio was okay but i prefer the lower 1st,2nd and 3rd in m,y T56 and the stock diff ratios as its punchier down low and still cruises nice in 6th :stirthepot:

auto=leave it alone. you could goto 3.77 for a slight lift but i wouldnt go any lower than that otherwise your cruising rpms will suffer and you will have traction problems in the lower gears

Okay

Faster acceleration, slight increase in lag, slight reduction in cruising fuel economy Yes. Diff gear will need to be changed in Tune other wise shift points and speed will be out

You will get that.
