Im interested to find out peoples personal opinion (whether you are someone who has upgraded or not) on what you believe are the top 5 improvements of the FG F6 over the BF F6 Typhoon MkII and conversely what are the top 5 things where they have gone backwards in going from BF to FG.

below is my opinion:

Improvements

1) Power/Acceleration

2) Better fuel economy

3) Ipod/Bluetooth/Reverse parking system integration standard

4) FPV branding rather than Ford branding(except they forgot the steering wheel)

5) Dynamic Stability Control

Backwards

1) Styling - Bf looks more muscly / tough

2) Turbo Boost gauge in center of the console makes Bf look tough

3) Dropping of the Typhoon name....it has a reputation so keep it.

4) Delivery of boost more exciting in Bf because of the slight lag.

5) Tyres have been kept the same! F*me more power so now even less traction. FPV shove some 265/275 at the rear!

Remember this is your personal opinion so what might seem backwards for someone looks like an improvement for someone else. Interested in people's experience/opinion.

Cheers,

Alex

Improvements

More rigid body

Better dash layout

Smoother delivery of power

Standard reverse sensors

digital speedo

Backwards

Looks too plain

Drop in power between shifts (a6)

Makes the HSV's look much meaner than FPV

Price

Not really any faster despite more power

Just wondering if the FG XR6T has the same internals as the Typhoon (BFS2 Phoon or 06/06 XR6T)

I know that the turbos are different but if the engine has the same internals im assuming it would be a better starting platform for doing mods

simple answer is no they are not the same engine wise.

it also has a higher compression ratio straight up

probably look on to the website below for the key differences
