I've worked with a few roid rage looking IT guys, mainly from outsourcers, they are good for doing the grunt work like racking Servers. I have also worked with a very small number of female IT people who were in most cased a metric f*ck tonne better than the blokes they worked with, it's just too bad most go off and have kids but never come back to IT. I blame the long hours - it's not uncommon to have 6AM starts and if you are really lucky and the sh1t hits the fan, all-nighters into the early morning or longer - which you can understand they might not want to be doing the second time around. Also a lot of the females are tomboys, so you don't have to be tiptoeing politically correctly all the time, you can actually have a joke with them.
