They've brought out a newer version that has a touchscreen and is slightly more automated...but for an extra $1,000 I couldn't justify it, plus it didn't come in black like this one.

mmmm im tempted to get a coffee machine myself, currently rocking a nespresso pod machine which is alright but the coffee ends up costing like $50 a kilogram in pods.

morning people, been absolutely flogged with work lately.

but on a serious note im looking for one that just does the coffee - no milk.

Good old fashioned dripolator with a "wake up brew" timer is perfect.

Hot coffee in the morning and refills on tap when needed.

I find I'm less of a coffee snob 1st thing - a steaming cup of joe ready to go sure beats stuffing around with beans, pods, group head, milk etc at that time of the day.

That's the beauty of the machine I'm getting, Rab. Can have it set to turn on and heat up before I wake up. Then I just put the basket in the grinder bit and press the go button, put the milk jug under the frother and press the go button, then once the grinder has finished grinding, dosing and tamping I bang it under the espresso bit and press the go button...then add milk to the coffee and all done. From start to finish you can make 2 cappuccinos in like 90 seconds...I can deal with that I reckon.
