Modifications

Engine: Fiat 16 valve, 2 litre, naturally aspirated.

Power: 275BHP

Suspension: totally custom, full rose-jointed, fabricated control arms f+r, adjustable coil overs etc etc. was a spool diff, now a ZF ramp load clutch pack diff.

Tyres: were 15x8 slicks, now 16x10 slicks.

Brakes: 4 spot calipers running on approx 290mm vented discs all round, dual master cylinders with brake bias adjustment bar

Body weight: Approx 850kg with full tank fuel and driver.

No other sandown times from anyone?

Was at a driver dynamics day watching some friends a few weeks ago at sandown and they were doing a 1.35 in a integra type r.

Was going to enter my G6ET but I have no faith in the brakes lasting more than a few laps. Done Sandown a few times in my 320rwkw skyline a few yearsa go

Sandown is a real power and brakes circuit, not really suited to the Integra.

While it would be quick around the corners it doesn't have the grunt to accelerate out of the tight corners and down the long straights.

I was at the PIARC Sprints at Phillip Island and I think that PI would suit the integra much better as its a lot of long sweeping turns where it could maintain a high corner speed.

Because the XR6T is so heavy it really works the front right and understeers a lot on the sweepers.

Sandown is a real power and brakes circuit, not really suited to the Integra.

The integra had a lot of work done to it including fairly worked engine (around [email protected]), adustable tein suspension, semi comps but stock brakes.

There was a FG XR6 there also, had a quick talk to the owner and he said the car was struggling in the high rpm range and could only do 160 clicks down the main straight.

There were 2 R35 GTR's racing also who were realing off easy 1:24's with fairly armature drivers.

Tyres: Kumho KU36 - 38psi cold (note this is far too high - 30-32psi cold would be a good start)

Brakes: Ferodo DS2500, DBA5000 front. Stock rear rotor, Racebrakes rear pad, Motul RBF600 fluid

Body weight: 1785

I hope to get into the 1.09s within a year or so......eventually into the 1.08s.

is it possible that these sedans when launched hard, can twist ? like would a 10 sec launch put anythin out ? I heard stories but am not sure.

Melted clutch line after 48 laps , 4 times 2 times( 2 drivers )6 laps. More heat sheilding required. First time out and hooked . Try more boost next and drop the suspention and wind the shockies up tighter.

geez mate that's a good time for wfp most of us see around 1.14 or so.

Yeah but it is a U2l sports sedan with full slicks and about 800kgs, not a barge arse heavy XR

Since that day we have fitted the new diff which makes the car unbelievably more stable, 16x10" slicks and the next step is a new motor (5cyl :buttrock: ) that we have hopes of making in excess of 300Bhp with (while revving to approx 11000rpm :3gears::buttrock: )

Haven't run new slicks since mods so with newies hoping for a low 1:05, maybe even a high 1:04.

Interesting Day at Wakefield 19.12.09 for the last Circuit Club Day of the Year

Picked up the Car from a 'local' Work Shop at 7.00pm on Friday to find a 'Gremlin' had left the Car with 273RWK!

- A far cry from the standard 415RWK!!

Ran a best of 1 minute 10.3!

The interesting thing is, it would appear reasonable Lap times are not totally dependent on HP!

And now it's back to the Shop to have them find and fix my 'Gremlin'!

- It would appear it never ends!
