Hi guys, Just bought stock SR6 turbo. Just wondering if any one knows what the max power those stock engines can handle with supporting mods and a tune. Dyno sheetposts will be good. Thanks.

anywhere up to 400RWKW IMO... and that depends on Model Ba, Bf, Typhoon and Tune

Any car's been pushed this hard with "standard" engine's Pete?

Love that "standard" word...

Standard internals will start to be really stressed over 300 rwkw's.

Stock injectors will go to about 250 rwkw's stock exhaust about 280 rwkw's.

As per Goldie.

If limits of breathing are addressed - Cat and air induction system, and sufficient fuel provided through appropriately sized injectors, together with valve springs changed you can reasonably confidently expect to sustain 330RWKW or 390-400 at the flywheel with standard internals. Your driving style and maintenance regime will also need to be considered in that figure.

Go search the threads on this forum.

A weekend spend doing research will give you more then enough detail to anser your question in some detail.

I run 360rwkw on one of my tunes and its been like that for quite a while. if you have a brand new XR6 or an 06/06 model you will be able to push closer to 400rwkw

304rwkw with a stock exhaust on my car, Headsex's car last made 315rwkw with a stock exhaust and inlet restrictions addressed, but there is way more in it, and the stock motor have been seen to handle 350rwkw +. Really depends on how its tuned, there is more than one way to skin a cat and the same applies for tuning, and the way it is tuned will determine how safe the motor can be on a given power level :spoton:

IMHO it depends on the setup... if the car has free flowing exhaust and intake, all properly tuned with plenty of fuel and not more than 15psi boost, and low inlet temps, then 350rwkw in a post april 06 engine (or typhoon) should be fairly reliable if treated with respect...

What drugs are you on :bowdown:

Pre June 06, rods will be at high risk of breaking much earlier than that, and stock pistons will not reliably sustain more than about 350 rwkw without risk of ring land breakage.
