got my t back today from getting a new boost actuator installed, it came back to me with less power than what I gave them.

came in with 226rwkw

came out with 225rwkw

its not much but its the principle of the thing, spending $500 on squat.

and the car feels like it runs stuff all boost, compared to before.

wtf........ :crybaby:

More details would be good before anyone can form an opinion. Perhaps a higher boost actuator was installed but tuned for a lower level  :spoton:

Agree more info, as in what was their reasoning as to why no gain was acheived and what they intend to do about it would be useful.

Not sure how the $500 was made up but at worst they shouldn't be charging you for anything more than the actuator/labour and even then should keep working on your car until a more satisfactory tune is provided free of charge.

They upgrade the actuator because they probably cant control the boost properly within the edit. They probably just use a dyno duty cycle and hope that the acuator will hold more of the boost up high. All this actuator upgrade stuff is just BS for stage 1 and stage 2 tunes. Hate to say it but I dont know of many tuning places that can control boost properly.

Disconnect the boost solenoid and fit inline a $ 60 GFB boost bleed valve...

Had one on my T with wog tune and exceptional results..

262 rwkw's - 8 psi

There's a good idea taking an electronic boost controller off that is able to bring boost on earlier and hold it further up the rev range and replace it with a dumbass temperature dependant bleed valve. You have know lost any overboost engine protection.

Using a bleed valve is essentially the same thing as what most edits do they set the boost control solenoid to a set duty cycle - so its pretty much just a controlled vent; hence a bleed valve.
