what an animal - keep it real Bryan.....that thing is a monster. I've got a mate who has a skyline with his external wastegate screaming past people leaves a lot of people speechless, id love to hear yours :) His car is only 340rwkw, I dont want to imagine what your car will be like once your done with it.....

with my car only pulling around 240+ rwkw I find it scary sometimes.....

regards,

george

Thanks Dave.

2x2 weeks.

I haven't seen the car for 5 months.

I drive 3 other turbo cars during the week, otherwise I'd be screaming… I’m patient and see this as an R&D process.

New Stage 5 Nizpro motor with forged crank, Nizpro cams, forged rods and pistons are in the car; new motor has been run in.

Also 1000+ cc injectors; special coil packs, Motec with cam & other options (e.g traction control); Nizpro extractors; 3 fuel pumps; external wastegate; huge turbo; new Intercooler, 8000 rev tacho (fpv); whole inlet system upgraded to around 5” piping (except Nizpro plenum and throttle body). ... retain Mal Wood 6-speed & 4" exhaust.

Early testing indicated around 500rwkw at just 1.1 bar (as a guide).

Car will rev to 7500 revs.

I will be able to control boost via a potentiometer attached to the Motec

Outstanding:

New triple plate Os Giken clutch yet to go, new mufflers, review of inlet system to check for bottlenecks, more tuning... see what breaks. ... tyres & new bonnet???

Not sure about retaining 4.10 diff … will test the car first.

I'll provide an update soon.

Just don’t ask how much I’ve spent  …. A ‘pretty penny’ is the response you’ll get.

That’s it for now.

Brian

bloody mad I thought I was mad you take the cake there brian :spoton::msm:

I went in Brian's car when it was 360rwkw, I was shaking THEN. 500rwkw? If there's even a hint of traction, that thing will be a McWeapon. Good luck Brian.

Thanks guys.

Obviously a few things to be sorted out yet, and no doubt a few things will break along the way.

I am spoilt, as I drive a very quick 2.5L STi; if the Ford T gives me as much enjoyment I'll be extremely happy.

From my perspective, having owned 10 turbo cars over the past 23 years, the Ford T will easily be the most powerful and most modified turbo I've had, thereby introducing a new set of problems and no doubt headaches.

I'll persist and see where it leads.

Hopefully I'll like it! The concept of having around 1000-1200NM is what I'm most looking forward to. The Sti handles in a different league, but it'll never the torque of the Ford T.
