  1. Hi guys, just done my first mod on my 2011 XR6 fg.I ( car was fully stock)... fitted a $650 combo pack from ss inductions including cold air intake and growler. Wondering what other affordable mods I can do apart from fitting a catback exhaust. Looking to increase sound, power, torque ect ( all that good stuff ) Just wanting some feedback on what the next mods I should do. Thanks everyone !

Hi all, I really need some assistance please (FYI I am not a mechanical car person at all).  Having some kind of power/electrical/battery/fuse/connection issue with my 08 FG xr6 turbo.  Let me run you through what has happened. Sunday morning I go to start the car and click, click, click with ‘Vehicle immobilised’ on the screen. Yes I know this generally means dead battery and to get a new one.  So I do and still does the same thing. Try a heap of different things throughout Sunday. (Disconnect battery for different periods, lock and unlock car etc etc) but to no avail (randomly gt different codes (vehicle immobilised, comms error, transmission not in park and it’s a manual).  Late Sunday afternoon when trying again accessories come on (as they had previously) but when turning ignition it just dies completely.  Then disconnect for a while, try again and dies completely again. Later I try charging the battery in case the new one was a dud, but it makes no difference. Then I tried charging the battery over Sunday night.  Monday morning before work try again, get accessories (as previously had) and get the ‘transmission not in park’ message.  Try ignition and dies completely again. Then I get home from work and try again and get basically no power at all. No accessories, keys don’t open or lock car, no inside lights when opening the door. Only faint sign of power is the boost gauge vaguely flickering in the on position and the air bag light being on when off. A mate came round and measured the battery and it is putting out the 13 volts so I don’t think it is the battery itself (plus it is new).  At some point sufficient power is not getting to the car. If anyone has any idea your feedback would be great? Really frustrating!
  3. Hi guys, my car has previously made an appearance in the 300 club but after my turbo started making a bit of noise I was "forced" ? to upgrade. Now rocking a gtx3576r thanks to the master at Profile Autosports, she's cracked the 400 mark. The mod list is as follows: Gtx3576r Atomic HD valve springs Stage 2 PW Intercooler kit 100 cell Cat 1000cc injectors 4" intake delete Earls filter CAI pod E85 Fuel pump (assuming a Walbro item) Stock ZF with tune stock cat back exhaust Made 401.4rwkw on E85 @ 19psi. With that big wide torque band it feels amazing on road. No sign of that legless feeling up top the gt3576 had. Needless to say, profile has another very happy customer.

Hi all, Looking at purchasing a new (2012) Turbo and have been googling around for exhaust upgrades, lots of impressive jargon from people like XForce however all I want to know is, given the factory engine and tune would a bigger/better/whatever exhaust deliver (slightly) more power? And regardless, which in your experience delivers the best exhaust note? Looking for a nice burble like my debunged Territory T has at the moment. Thanks for listening...
  5. hey everyone im fairly new to the forums and have owned my nitro blue fg xr6 auto for 2 months now and I love it ive just started thinking about mods.after reading the forums and doing a little work I think ive got a plan im planing to do all the mods at once after owning the car for about 7 months (first service + a month) to get the most out of the warranty, as ive done on all of my cars in the past, im gonna work on making it breath as best as possible keeping to lowsh boost levels, im goin to start buying some parts slowly maby install some if safe, so far im thinking 1000hp plazmaman intercooler kit ,battery relocate, turbo side air intake new bov ,f6 injectors,new fuel pump , valve springs cam regrind/new cams , new leads plugs and coils turbo manifold, turbo bag, 4 inch dump 4/5inch 100c cat 4 inch s/s system with 2 hiflow mufflers mods to the turbo to controll boost ,lower diff gears 19inch rims with good sticky rubber and depending on how it gets power to the ground maby the shocks and springs. aitkenvale dyno in townsville will be doing the job so its gonna be up to them in the end in terms with the cam and computer/tune diff gears I want it to come on as early as possible and sound awsome, budget for the engine work is about 10k (what im telling the misus) but is probly gonna be a bit more just my adding the mods listed in my head, but I plan to own this car for a long time so spending the extra 5gs to make it make the power with eaze seems to be the right thing to do, so what do u guys think of my parts list input would be great ill put a pic of the car up for u guys, standard and still sexy
