  1. well done ... it is the car that does the time and a good driver that protects the car in achieving that time (IMHO) I wouldn't run a powerful manual car down the strip cause I'd break it for sure ... no point ... Mark from Dynomotive has got the best times out my car because he is good (way way better than me) at going fast and protecting the car ... he's running 9.5 sec passes for the dark side
  2. Blonk ... are you getting paid to say that sort of crap ?? TC came with the car and is needed. if TC is knocked out be an "edit" that is unacceptable.... lets hope the fix won't be too long and that cars with that edit are driven safely
  3. they look good for rice .... nothing will make your car look ricier

    Dyno Day

count me in ..... I wouldn't mind running the stang up on another dyno
  7. .... but who would be responsible if there is an accident caused due to this "error condition" ?? or worse still ... what if someone died ?? That's an alarmest statement. Keep it in perspective; it's nowhere near as bad as having your car stall in the middle of a roadabout, or rapid overtaking at 130kph and your car going into limp mode, with a semi-trailer coming towards you. As for stalling, I don't think Ford accept any responsibility. I definitely do accept that you need TC working in a powerful rwd. Brian I just reckon a lot of these issues are taken a bit casually .... will it take a death for companies to extract their digit or atleast take things a bit more seriously .... I'm running 370rwkw in 1550kg rocket and I value traction control .... I'd be a fool not to agreed , the stalling thing was a pain too .... so much of the control over a modern car is "power" assisted I used to hate turning left into a street causes the chances were high that the freaken car would stall .... strong arming a car with sfa brakes and smiling at someone turning out of that street cause you may end up exchanging phone numbers and insurance companies .... not acceptable ....

  10. forget it .... seems obvious to me
  11. hello .... check the contact names on that web link
  12. how about trying a 19" on one side and a 17" on the other side ?? watch the car cork-screw off the dyno all about traction .... I've watched altered results if the rear wheel is allowed the ride up to the top of the dyno roller (I.e. the car wasn't strapped down properly) oops ... another pandorra's box tyre pressures anyone ??
  13. for sale : 50rwkw in the form of 3" rims
  14. if the rolling diameter is the same then there would be no change in gearing and you'd think no influence on rwkw figures I've heard the more rubber the more grip figures ranging 10%-15% are seriously significant ... be interested in founding out myself ... my trouble is that I only use bigger rims to allow for bigger brakes ... 17s won't go there anymore need a powered up car with stock brakes for next dyno day
  15. good idea, take a bit of time though awhile back one of the moderators organised a FAQ section listing all the threads on the various topics etc etc ... but that hasn't been updated for about a year I now use the forum's search engine
  16. glad it sorted itself out all suspension works needs to be tightened after the car has had a chance to be on the road for awhile and shake itself into any available gaps and consequently loosen up as far as trusting anyone with your car ... in my experience it is usually Ford mechanics are best in answering unusually questions, they continuously deal with the same cars over and over (especially if your dealer is big into commercial vehicles they'll usually have the info on utes) the possibility that the Ford mechanics found something sinister and fixed it in 2 hours is next to impossible; the tail ends on the utes are simple and I would tend to believe what Ford told you .... and considering the rear had been modified by someone else, they did good by you for fixing it free why did your mechanic who lowered your ute handed it back to you the way it was ? anyways, great that you are happy with the car and that's what counts most
  17. try tightening every bolt up ... you got some unwanted movement there somewhere ... it worked for me :o next to a squeak in the dashboard ... that sounds is the next worst IMHO I also put in a 2 link system which reduced the "twist" on the leafs and the noises... nearly fixed up the torque steer altogether
  18. congrats Matty & Christine .... I pity da fool though I tried on a daily basis for six months to inform you of the health warnings associated with marriage you two are obviously meant to be ... enjoy the journey thanks for the pics Ken
  19. just been on the PM with Dave, and a Royal Childrens Hosiptal Good Friday Appeal raffle it is help out all the kids is that cool with the rest of you guys ?? now where are the moderators when you need them .... re-title the thread or start a new one or whatever
  20. Dave, maybe we can run a raffle for the RCH Good Friday Appeal instead ? Let us know mate.... give us a chance to help all the kids at the RCH .... count me in for a few tickets .... always wanted to win a GT-P
  21. Craig ... congrats on getting to the top ..... easier going downhill think about getting a roll gage so 50 or 60 aren't out of the question ... you'll be doing 4 second passes by then
