  1. Ok sweet, that’s all I needed to know really whether or not it needed to be coded to the vehicle or if I can just swap it, thanks for your replies once again Keith. Truth of the matter is I have never had a engine light come up on the dash before but have had codes so got to thinking someone may have removed engine light globe, so I attempted to remove cluster to check not knowing there was screws on the bottom and thinking maybe plastic clips and I cracked the bottom of the cluster and now hazard light and dash controls on right hand side do not work anymore☹️. Maybe these are replaceable on there own than without replacing complete cluster?
  2. Hey guys, having problems with my dash/ instrument cluster side buttons not working. Just wanting to know if I can just straight swap the whole instrument cluster with another with within 2000hrs. Does it need to be from a exact model as mine is a series 2 bf xr6 turbo? Does this mean it needs to be from a xr6 turbo or will a N/A or xr8 still have same cluster. Also does this create any problems with BCM or security? cheers for any advice
  3. Hey guys, Trying to find out if it’s possible to remove screen from bf xr6 turbo and replace with ultra thin android replacement as a DIY project. I know there is lots available for this but want to know if anyone has just pulled out icc and remove screen and fitted a android type touch unit at home? Can it be done without loosing AC or compromising BCM and what not?
  4. I found a eBay CHRA cartridge core with dual ceramic ball bearing and billet wheels for $500 shipped , direct bolt in so am thinking of going this way. Has anyone tried this type before? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/STAGE-2-GT3582-Turbo-Dual-Ball-CHRA-Cartridge-Ford-Falcon-BA-BF-XR6-FPV-F6-/112343377358?
  5. Ok so is there a big difference between journal bearing and ceramic? Would I notice any less power or other between the two? Yeah at the same time I need to replace turbo feed line as it is still the original type. Car has done 195000kms and was a x nsw police car so who knows if it’s original turbo, I have owned it for maybe 18 months and it has worried me the whole time
  6. Hey all, just St want to know peoples opinions on the cheap EBay turbos, I see there is multiple turbos on there for around $350 and want to know if anyone has used one and how it went and how long it lasted for??? My turbo is getting a little noisy so I’m just starting to have a look now before it’s too late, not keen on spending thousands on a new turbo. Car is a Bf series 2 xr6 turbo, currently tuned to 420rwhp. I can here turbo spinning down once car is shut off
  7. Hey Mate, I fitted the 460 pump into the stock cradle on my bf series 2 xr6 turbo and left the factory wiring and relay, it has been a few months since fitting and I have had no problems yet. Also soldering or joining is not required to modify in tank harness as people have previously quoted, can simply un pick terminals from warbro harness and factory harness and adapt together . Hope this helps. Also I called walbro about upgrading wiring and relay and they told me it will be fine using factory wiring but do recommend upgrading it
  8. Righto cheers lads, appreciate the advice, I’m still a few weeks away yet but will let you all know how it goes when it gets done
  9. I’m capable of doing the job it’s just that I haven’t done it before so just asking if anyone knows what specific parts I will need. I already have another regulator and also larger injectors
  10. Hey All, Ive been meaning to do this job for a while but was delayed by tuner so now the time is near I want to be sure I have all I need. So I Plan to install a intank walbro 460 pump into the stock cradle, all I currently have is the new pump and pump tea bag filter and wires that came with it. Has anyone done this job and know what else I require for it to work apart from running new wiring and Relay. As in do I need any hoses or anything and does it fit into stock cradle easily? Also Can I fit pump and still drive it before it gets new regulator and injectors installed while I am waiting for tuner and will it run as usual? Thanks in advance
  11. Whats the deal with upgrading wiring and is it recommended or needs to be done as I am installing my 460 this Saturday and car gets tuned Monday, don't have time this weekend to do the wiring lol. Already have to change regulator, injectors, install high flow cat and fit the 460 pump on Saturday and cant work on it sunday.
