  1. The cheapest BA XR6 Turbo on Carsales is $7500 . Are they going up in value ? I've had mine for 10 years and now I need to sell it to buy a van for work , can someone give me an idea of what its worth ? 253k , runs like it did when I bought it off a mechanic at 110klms , starts first time every time , never had a problem and its all original except for cold air intake and a tune at a shop . Factory premium sound , premium leather , no accidents , highway klms . Always used premium fuel , serviced on time with fully synthetic oil only .
  2. I'm a noob , no idea about suspension . What I do know is that mine is shagged . 235k and still using the original . Can someone suggest something decent , maybe mid range that won't brake the bank ? I'm just after comfort I guess , smooth ride . My car is just a drive to work car . I do corner hard but I don't need something that is for racing etc

    Plugs Turbo

    I called APS who did a cold air intake & stage 1 tune to my XR6turbo ( no turbo boost , just stock ) a few years ago and asked what spark plugs to use bcos I want to replace them . He gave me NGK , part number BKR6E . Does this sound about right ? Can I damage my car by putting in wrongly gapped plugs ?
  5. Yeh it goes fine in reverse and it didn't make any banging noises at all , no knocking or rattles , nothing . Last time I drove the car it was running perfectly fine , went to drive it today and the auto is problematic , out of nowhere . Okay thanks for the advice I will look into the fluid level .
  6. I have a BA XR6T with 219k on the clock , car has been faultless , never missed a beat . I just tried to drive it and something is wrong with the auto . In Drive mode , its lost nearly all its power . I can't even make it out of my underground carpark up the inclined ramp to street level . It happened all of a sudden . Can anyone hazard a guess as to what is wrong and what I'm up for ?
  7. Even the mechanic at Ford was unsure if it was a 21mm or 22mm . If your confident I will go with 22mm , cheers .

  9. On the way home from Linfox after driving semi's I got a flat on the fwy at midnight . A few bumpy km's later I made it to a servo , had no choice , could not stop . I have a gold locking nut inscribed with 5B28 . The damn thing split apart like it was made from cheese so I can't get the wheel off to put the spare on . Today I called Ford dealers and they all said that these locking nuts are not made anymore and cannot be found . Does anyone happen to have one ? Otherwise I think I will have to put a slightly undersized socket on it (21mm I think) , smash it on and then wrench it off . If I get desperate I might go at it with a chisel and hammer .
