Hi All, I have an older ba xr6 turbo with 200,000klms and would like to spend as little as possible with max gain, I have been advised by a friend with a modded xr6 turbo to go for some bigger injectors, bigger intercooler and a tune (possible a dump, high flow cat, delete mid). I will try to find all these second hand to keep costs lower. The car is completely stock, just has a kn filter. I have recently also purchased a earls oil line filter. I am aware there is many older threads but I was after up to date info as there would be newer products than was available in the past. Also if you have any parts I could use please let me know I am located in sydney. Thanks in advance
  3. So I have just spent the past 2 mornings at the exhaust shop, I had gone in to replace the broken cat one replaced the car stopped accelerating at 120 like there was a rev limit. The bloke told me to drive normal and turn the car off then on again, and check again after some time I drove for about 100klms and still the same, he then said it is a fail safe. I also went back the following morning as I had bought a factory middle and rear exhaust and had that put on, but the high flow cat and piping from engine to the middle and rear was still 3 inch it is still having the same problem now. I have also bought the factory cat and dump pipe section that I will have replaced will this solve me problem? Thanks in advance
  4. I ended up buying DBA street series T2 rotors for the front yesterday with bendix ultimate pads. Was on sale 20% at super cheap. I dont think my spirited driving requires higher end brakes. Which bushes do you mean?

Hi Stever, Is the DBA4000 rotors (now replaced with DBA T3) a good replacement option without going over the top? are there cheaper alternatives, is it required with all the brakes issues on these cars, or do I just need to change the pads only? The car is stock except for a full exhaust that I will change to stock exhaust when I find one. It is too loud on the inside gives me a headache
  6. I think, I will purchase the earls brand seems to be a good brand and product, I have found a used 2003 ba xr6 turbo cat and dump pipe that I will purchase today hoepfully that should be the same I assume.

Thanks for the heads up, I have now just ordered the PWR trans cooler kit for BA/BF from Ebay, I am also looking for a replacement cat as its rattling, is it specific for the turbo model compared to n.a.? Also I am going to replace the Turbo oil feed line, any recommended ones to look for? Once I get the transcooler I will do the trans fluid and other fuilds and filters. Also what spark plugs are recommonded? the ones in there are gapped should they be? Thanks again
  8. Hi All, Just bought a 2004 Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo on 200,000klms. Apart from the oil, filter, spark plugs what else is recommended for reliability purposes. So far I have read about external trans cooler (what brand? PWR does it matter?) also the brakes do seem wobbly does it require pads only or something more? also a friend has been telling me to change some hoses and lines. Thanks in advance
