    Custom Tune

We charge $770 for a custom tune including regapping the plugs (using your tune box) or $1195 for a custom tune with a HPF supplied Xcal2 device. Matt.
  4. It's Tim's car, he is a good bloke and the work was done at HPF. It ran that time with a lazy 1.7 60ft so if Tim wanted to we could have easy smashed another 2-3 tenths of that with getting the car out of the hole better. Next time the car is out we should be able to drop seconds, not just tenths. The car was run on Sunoco race fuel, this is the safest way to keep the 10-1 compression engine alive with 15psi. No Boss engine has ever ran that fast unopened stock - period, Bluepower included. You will not find a current offer for a single turbo kit anywhere near that price, the kit alone with the Garrett GT4088 journal bearing turbo charger is 7k, not fitted, not landed. You still have to add injectors, map sensor, fuel pump, fitting, tuning, etc. Think 10k plus. Also, these entry kits are not going to give you 400kw at the wheels, think 330 - 350rwkw on an honest, not trying to sell you anything because I make it, dyno. Contrary to popular belief, 400kw at the wheels out of an LS1 is not as easy as having a poo! You will need at least 14psi of boost on a standard engine and 10-12 psi on a engine with upgraded cam and lower compression. The VE engine is a little easier. Regards, Matt
  5. We're actually looking at a unit like this. Does anyone know anywhere in Aus that supplies them? filmtools.com has everything but shipping is extreme, $250 for a $90 item!

    Mrpsi

It is with great regret that HPF announces the passing of long time customer and friend Lyle Lemon. Lyle died of a suspected heart failure in Brisbane on 22nd March, 2008. Lyle became a close friend to all at HPF during the building and competing of his two vehicles, known as TTLS1 and MRPSI. MRPSI is a VU Late model camira Ute built to be the most powerful of its kind and had just begun its campaign with 1,730 rear wheel horsepower and a 2nd place at this years Summernats Horsepower Hero‘s competition. TTLS1 is a VX Late model camira sedan which competed at Summernats 20 where it won the Exhibition class on the dyno with 980rwhp. The car then went to the track and has been under development and running mid 9 second quarter mile passes with the ultimate plan being to run 8 seconds still running IRS rear suspension. Lyle had earned much admiration from the HPF team and the car community in general with the way he set a goal and then built the vehicle necessary to achieve it. Typically quiet and with little visible emotion, it wasn’t until Lyle was behind the wheel of one of his cars that his passion for modified cars became apparent. The ear to ear grin on his face was the ultimate reward for the team that put the car together. It was always a pleasure to do work for Lyle and even though he commissioned us to do a job, he was always extremely thankful, giving the feeling that our work was truly appreciated. Lyle’s family were always involved in his activities and after seeing them together at events there really was no doubt how much they meant to him. Lyle will be deeply missed by all at HPF both as a customer and a friend. HPF
  7. Why not get a replacement clock to fit the pod? I know autometer make them: http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugedetail.a...=2622&sid=7
