  1. Copy that....fine tooth comb and a torch.....
  2. Hi guys. I've Got a G6et and today when checkin the fluids an so on I noticed once again the coolant level was low. Now when I say low...in all cases I've noticed it...the fluid line was just still reading in the bottom of the overfill/engine bay tank. So maybe missing 1-1.5 litres I think. It's happened probably 3-4 times since last summer........always after a HARD driving session. I thought during summer it was jsimply just an overheating issue of sorts due to driving hard in the heat......but now it's happened in winter I thought I'd throw the question out there and see if anyone knows what it may be! Initially I thought I was using water (in a bad way) but the fluid level literally never goes down if I don't flog it. Probably been 4 months since it happened last. anyway...id appreciate any heads up tips if anyone's knows or has seen this happen similiar before. Thanks in advance!
  3. Hang on a second....isn't the stock heat exchanger 'internal' to the gearbox? Therefore why it voids a new car warranty if you upgrade with aftermarket exchanger! So my point is, if it's part of the gearbox.....it fails......fix the whole thing!!! Dude that sucks!
  4. Sorry maybe I should clarify....I'm not talking about rotating worn tyres or anything.More like buying a "decent" pair of say Dunlops for the front and a good pair of "sticky" khumos(or whatever brands are good) so yeah...I'm certainly not talking about putting home brand Chinese tyres on the front either. I'll also point out all my "performance driving" is done in a straight line . No track work and never thrash on twisty roads! Also I Have upgraded brakes aswell!
  5. Not sure if I've mentioned this here before but the 2nd to 1st bumping in my car was "learned out" by the computer by simply changing driving style. It deff did it when we got ours......all I did was either break harder just as your stopping......or most of the time.....just as it would normally bump....let the car slowly move forward and it will softly engage 1st. Now the bumping is totally gone. hope that helps!
  6. Hey are you thinking of plasti dipping the fog surrounds aswell. I'm tossing it up wether to or not......
  7. Hey guys....think this is my first thread but been around awhile So.... Was wondering what people's thoughts are on having good quality grippy tyres on the rears and just cheaper or longer wearing tyres on the front. Obviously this is for a performance car (G6ET) otherwise it'd be silly I know. Now I'm not necessarily wanting to be a cheap skate...more thinking of simply upgrading the rears to a tyre I normally wouldn't buy all round to get better traction. I also don't do a lot of Kay's so was thinking this helps the cause a little too. Any thoughts...thanks!
  8. Wow that's great to know....I've not even used that reverse side mirror button yet. Now I know what it is.....I guess ill set it up haha! Thanks
  9. Yeah that's come up absolutely smick.
  10. Not sure how much "self tuning" they do but mine occasionally did that on certain slopes....I just kept very light throttle on when this used to happen and now it's totally stopped. Seems to select 1st only when either I do or I completely stop. Stays in '2nd now and doesn't do it.
  11. Mine also has no dramas with the single spinner....lights both at will. Also snaps sideways too...rarely lighting one up in smoke. Must be all the low traction crappy roads around here lol
  12. I'm a new member long time reader here but I agree with everything above. ( coil overs, diff,so on). I also have an ego G6ET and think you should check out the cai kits from places like kpm. They are similiar to the GT 335 open boxes that seal with the bonnet closed. Big pod filters and look amazing.
