  1. Little update, done about 10000kms now on this gearbox oil so it will be getting changed in the next 1000kms, the rattle did return after my initial feedback, it stayed quiet for about 3-5k kms then slowly returned, now it back to rattling like it did on the stock oil. I spoke to Malwood and he recommended the standard mineral dex 3 and use 4.2L which I think fills up the box a bit more, change every 2nd engine oil change. At the time I chose not to go with that and to try the super expeno redline stuff. With Nulon smooth shift additive. I think now I might try going back to the dex 3. Another issue I've been having as I daily my car is cooking my clutch fluid quite regularly, even being easy on the clutch and never sitting with the pedal down it still will heat up exsessivley in traffic to the point where sometime the friction point will move. And I'll have to do a bleed to fix it. Just another thing to consider if your thinking about daily driving an xtreme twin plate haha. Anyway that's just a little update. Cheers beau
  2. Little update as I haven't posted in a while, current pic of the ute, everything's going pretty good, brakes are coming soon so hopefully will be able to drop into the 1:11's round Wakefield and eventually get it on e85 with a new fuel system.
  3. Nice! Will do, they are a heaps better price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Hahah yeh who knows! I'm sure you'd hear it if it got to the stage mine was. I have xforce dump and f6 turbo, I don't know if that may make it worse but I don't really know how it could. Your lucky you've only had to tighten once. Mines got 15,000kms and I've torqued them 4 times. I've seen some people drill through the nut and stud and put a wire through, and I've also seen some similar little fold over tab things that looked like you could make yourself on one of my mechanics RB's. I'm sure there are some cheaper options but it's just a fck around trying to source all the bits yourself. So nice when it comes in a kit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Ive been having issues with my dump pipe and manifold bolts coming loose quite regularly. I checked them yesterday because it sounded like I had an exhaust leak (a screamer pipe) when I was on WOT and sure enough all my dump bolts were loose as fck and 1 was completely gone and half my manifold bolts I got a full rotation of the socket back on them. So I called atomic and bought a set of their anchorlox for the my dump pipe, as their pretty expensive ($130 for 5 bolts) I only got the dump ones for now as they were the worst. They just came today so going to be glad when I put them on. Has anyone else used these? Or has anyone got another method? Curious to see other peoples solutions cause as I understand it's a pretty common issue with all turbo engines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Could of just said yes but whatevs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. So have put about 70kms on the car since oil change and I'm very happy to say noise has gone now even with A/C on. Still a tiny bit of rollover noise but nothing to worry about at all now. Pretty stoked, anyone with the same issue try the redline stuff. https://vimeo.com/139519103 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Rear muffler removal is droney AF and sounds pretty bad imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. In it goes. Noise still there but only when air con is on now. Shifts are smooth even at high rpm. I'll feel it out for a couple days and see if it gets any better then report back haha. god why didn't I splurge on an npc! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I'm jealous of your quiet box haha. Ahh so many options, gotta make a decision today as to what I'm gonna put in it, pretty keen to try this g70 stuff if Matt had success with it, just don't know what oil to run, I'm thinking I'll try the super expensive red line stuff and if that doesn't make it any better next time I'll try something else, process of elimination haha. I do have a ripshifter with a solid mounted stick so I'm going to put some rubber between the stick and shifter as well and see if that takes some of the noise away. So you reckon an extra full liter gaz? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I might try the red line lightweight shockproof oil possibly with the Nulon additive unless anyone can advise against it. I have to admit I was a bit surprised when Mal said to use dex, I really want to try something different Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Do you mean g70? I just looked it up and the g60 is auto trans additive, the g70 is manual gearbox and diff additive. Will this be ok to add to mineral dex3 or do you think I should go with a synthetic Nulon oil as well? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Just heard back from Mal and he said to use 4.2L of normal mineral dex3 and to change it every 2nd oil change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
