  2. Newly Purchased 2003 BA XR6T Manual

Welcome mate - seems you have a bit of experience having so many power beasts of other varieties already. Try contacting @Puffwagon as well about your BA T - he's pretty knowledgeable in my opinion, possibly in your general locale (and all round good guy ). I think he dabbles with HP Tuners as well
  3. NZ Cruise 2018. Sept, South Island

Milford Sound is a good whole day trip from Queenstown I think. I was gonna do it but work took up half my day on the day I planned for it last year so had to leave it for another time. I think found it hard to get any fuel anywhere in between large towns - and I was only looking for 91 RON. Like I wouldn't have had enough fuel to make it back to Queenstown on one tank when I went out to the west coast through Hass Pass (but the little Toyota only had a 55 litre tank I think). Thank goodness for this little gas station just by before the coast. Might be worthwhile investing in a cheap 10 litre jerry can if you plan on using 98RON ... I think having a manual would be fun on those roads. I'm not a fan of how high the brake pedal sits on Mercs. September gonna be super busy at work due to special project so I'll have to give this one a miss as much as I'd like to go. Hope you and mates have a good one
  4. Camaro

So just saw this Chev Camaro coming to Australia - HSV working on converting them to right-hand drive from July onwards (but alas the top of the range ones so still a bit exy) https://www.drive.com.au/motor-news/sunday-7-hottest-cars-coming-this-winter-118616.html?ffref=theage&trackLink=SMH1 Never hired one whilst I was in the States as they were either all sold out or way to expensive ...

  7. Cool Stuff You Just Bought

  8. Farrkn MassDrop - I estimate I've dropped at least a cool $1k or more on it so far Thanks @Rab Anyways driving home tonight - caught yet another incident on the dash cam and just sent the link of the vid footage to the party affected. Also sold one to my mate at work for his Merc which for all it cost - has no farrkn dashcam built-in. The one I bought has really good night filming performance which is one of the reasons I bought it (actually have bought as many as 8 by now off eBay for family and friends). By the way - below is not the vid of the incident - just an example of the vision form the G1WC dash cam camera I took almost a year to the day The one used above has good in-car audio and good night vision for AUD $56 off eBay. Have to buy MicroSD card separate. I found 32GB lasts about 3 days for me as my commute into the office is only about 30-45 mins one-way depending on peak hour traffic. Other things I've bought from MassDrop include AAA flashlights made of copper and heaps of watches (so much so I had to go buy the Wolf watch display case available on MassDrop ...) Having said - not everything is a bargain on MassDrop.

  13. Possums How Do You Get Rid Of The Barstards?...

Stayed on the tiled roof til 2am after noticing where they get in and out and waited until they left at night for their nightly sojourn then got to work with wood, nails, chicken coop wire (for framework) and spak filler and blocked up the eave hole they were getting through. No more possums since - and its been about 7 years now I was told that Peter the Possum man was no longer allowed to set cages for them (I remember maybe 20 years ago they were allowed to capture them in cages left in the roof space). Nowadays - he has to use a one way flap on a tile to let them out but they can't get back in but that's a bit useless if there is some other way they are getting in and out But they are noisy little buggers once they get in the wall spaces that's for sure. Drives the dog mad as well at 1am in the morning if they are thrashing around the bushes along the fence line.

Hope you guys having Happy Easter

  17. NZ Cruise 2018. Sept, South Island

I tend to throw up if I'm not driving on the sort of roads we like I prolly will have to pass as I'm expecting my next major customer device to be in development that time frame so all hands on deck at work ... But as you know - I luv those roads on South Island
  18. FG F6 - System Comms Fault whilst driving

Yep - when my neg terminal was not tight on the battery on my FG F6 - all sorts of lights and wizardary happened on my dash to the point where (well for obvious reasons of lack of current flow) the car would not start. Tightened the neg terminal screws and all good At least had a reason for being late to meet the marketing lady when I offered my greased up hand (no time to clean it properly after hunting around the engine bay for the root cause before the meeting with her ...)

  25. 2018 Tassie Cruise - 08/03-13/03 (All states)

So what a long weekend - OMG I kid you not - I had to keep the air-con on just to dry away the sweat from my palms for fear of steering wheel slipping through my hands (mind you it was 31 deg C on the West Coast of Tassie at one time). After I got off the Spirit of Tassie had to rush straight in to work as had a customer engagement all day so only now putting fingers to keyboard. I'd like to thank @Rab, @k31th and @YLD127 for making it a fun filled long weekend, great mates, spirited cars, phenomenal roads and rare blue sky balmy weather in Tassie This time we a good number of new roads we hadn't done on the East Coast and some faithful challenging West Coast twisties that we loved so much in Nov last year we had to do again. Tassie really turned on the weather for us - made for some awe inspiring scenery we'd not seen before due to overcast clouds and rain previously - like mountain ranges just rising up as you come over the hill and lake vistas that reminded much of South Island New Zealand and Swiss Interlaken. Gotta hand it to YLD127 for letting us stay at his place on the East Coast - farrk me was that holiday shack an awesome sleeper - if he told us earlier it has such panoramic views of Freycinet and Marie Island and its OWN private beach I would have suggested farrk stayin in Hobart and let's just base ourselves out of YLD's shack Thanks k31th for showing us the way - even with the myriad of let's say roads that did not stay sealed (well one of 'em was my doin ). And Rab plying us with beers even when we knew we should not have had a coldie (like after comin back from the Wine Glass Bay Lookout 1 hr walk quite frankly totally dehydrated and then drank something to make us even more dehydrated but farrk at least it was cold ... Well YLD - he supplied us shelter and used his local intuition for consistent picks for us to partake in Tassie home grown dining. All up for me 2105 km over the 4 days and on this trip there was reasonable number of locations for 98 RON (though not for Strathgordon - we had to come almost all the way back to New Norfolk for fuel but that was expected). I have not worked out the total vid footage yet but as a guide day 1 was about 149GB just from me alone. I'll try to post up some more pics soon.
