  1. Nah I dont have a boost gauge either. Doesn't feel any different performance wise at all. I've got the xr8 CAI mod and a k&N filter, I felt a difference when I did those two
  2. I had the option of getting the better plugs but im only running standard boost and didnt feel the need to fork out $20 each plug. When I finally get some $$$ and start modding ill get decent plugs
  3. Bought new NKG plugs from autobarn for $5 each. Ford quoted me $70 each coil but I got a friend of a friend who works for them to get them for $28 each. Just fitted them and went for a spin. Its now boosting nice and smoothly and a roll on from 6th gear is smooth. Looks like its fixed for now, cheers for the help!
  4. Cheers fergos, Ill have a look into the coils and see how that goes. Ive done the boost solenoid thing twice in two months, both times I didn't notice a difference (yes the pipes went on in the correct order)
  5. Yeah I'm seeing someone on Wednesday about it. Guess I can use the Hayabusa for a few days =P
  6. By intake mods I am talking about the 2nd CAI and k&N filter. Nothing that should affect it at all.
  7. Hey guys, Been having some dramas recently when my car comes onto boost. I've got my foot planted but the car still surges back and forth (not extreme but I can feel it). Almost like boost is coming on and going off, on and off, on and off etc. It happens all the way through the range. Also when I am on the highway in 6th gear, 2k RPM and plant it it coughs and surges really bad then goes back to the boost surging on and off again. The car is an 05 mk2 6 speed manual. All stock except for minor intake mods and earls oil feed line. Going to go see someone about it on wednesday but thought I might find help on here first. At first I thought it might be dirty fuel as I have had that drama before but when it started coughing and surging in 6th at 2k RPM I thought it might be something else. Cheers guys!
  8. My 05 BA 6 speed manual just clicked over 70,000 kms
  9. TXR05, on 01 Feb 2012 - 7:01 PM, said: I know its an old post but what would these sort of mods cost me (roughly)? Ive got the same car, 05 6 speed manual and 300rwkw is my aim for power. The car is bone stock ATM with K&N and Earls turbo oil line, just kicked over to 70,000ks. I am thinking of having it tuned by On-Road parts + Performance because they are 5 mins from me and they recently tuned a BA 5 speed manual Ute and managed to squeeze 403hp (300kw) out of: - Stock exhaust - High flow cat - Front mount intercooler - 82lb injectors - Modified intake -10 PSI If they can make that power out of those mods I wonder what they can get out of TXR05's mod list
  10. Yeah I bought it 8 months ago with 50k's, just run in. haha
  11. I just did mine on my 05 BA with 60k's on the clock. I had a fair bit of lag beforehand and now it is slightly better (I think), then again I was expecting it to go from a stock car to 2nd and 3rd gear power skids from everyone's results, haha!
  12. Under 3k for those mods! Wow hook me up!!

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

This sounds like my problem. I get severe shudder anywhere from 60-110km while driving normally. The whole car starts to shake and I can feel it through the steering wheel, I can even see the manual gear stick moving around heaps when it happens. Where would be a good place to get the brake booster checked, a wheel and tyre shop or a mechanic? "back off the rod between the booster and the master cylinder a few turns" Would this be a safe option to try? My car has only 55,000 kms on the clock and its an 05 mk2 manual. Cheers
  14. Yeah bit late for that ebay one, cheers for the help guys, ill save FTG's number for next time!
  15. Ordered for $96 and $12 for postage to the Gold Coast, still heaps better then what the dealer wanted, cheers for the help Pazzo!!!
