  5. Hi All, Just a quick question/story of what I went through, dropped the car in for Aircon fault which was a simple o-Ring, got a call at 9am saying that they need to replace the radiator and cooler, I neally had a heartattack! it took them two attempts to find the aircon fault! thought I was in for the worst! never going to see my T again in one piece! Car didnt show any signs of overheating or anything! Still stock apart from CAI. Anyway, got the car back thismorning, you can hear the turbo spool up heaps louder then previously seems to be breathing heaps better, I cant beleive the difference its made! considering there were no tell tale signs eg loss of power or high temp. Maybe I had a dud from day 1, hence didnt realise the power wasnt quite right? Service guy said there was a recall>? sounds bit sus to me? Any one heard of any radiator or Cooler faults? the curiosity it killing me.
  6. Hey Guys Quick Update, got the Stooges to pay up, they didnt give a crap about the phone calls and emails I sent. Got my lawyer to draft a quick letter, 40 bux, 1 week later I had a cheque for 1200 in the mail! Im happy as Larry! Cheers and all the best!
  7. Hi everyone, just a quick question, I was recently driving on a road observing the 60klm speed limit when I drove through a small pothole. Result of that, one damaged back rim with a chunk missing about the size of a 20 cent coin, the impact tore a gash in the back wheel and caused a stress/Blister on the front tyre. I have obtained 3 reports from Tyre Dealers all stating that the rim at most could possibly be used as a spare wheel, and I have to replace the other two tyres. I have taken photos of both car and the suspect hole! so hopefully the hole doesnt get repaired before I get a check out of them quotes have come in at approx $1,200 mark, I was running stock 17's with sp3000's. Any info on past experiences dealing with counclil or Vicraods would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance mark
  8. Good Stuff fellas! I was in the same boat as you guys, 20 when I got my baby. A word of advice though, dont touch the exaust, I would estimate that in the first 4 months of having the exaust of my first t I was a pulled over at least once a week! (im in vic by the way, not sure what the police are like in otherstates) The P plates are like Flashing Lights that say pull me over to Police! the exaust was aps setup<the coppers love picking on tiny things! I had to get it tested by the epa, pain in the..... One last point, I took my car to calder park and completed a defence driving course, best 400 bux ive eva spent! Well worth a look Guys! Good luck and safe driving. Cheers Mark
  9. I got my T on my when I was 21, paying $1,900 per annum that's with Just cars! not bad considering that a Rx non turbo Subaru was $1,100
  10. attended a Advance driving course when I had the wrx, started off on 33psi all round, then did same course with 40psi! CHRIST What a difference! handling and chrispness in steering and overall handling improved 10fold! I now run 40psi all the time in my Xr6t, run the sametyre pressure with my olds Clk 55 and that handles Superb!

  14. How Long does a reflash take?
  15. Hi, ive read all the posts in the archieves re:exausts and im still unsure where I should go to get the work done! I am looking for full exaust system for Xr6 turbo, have seen Harrop and Nizpros,(Both Fantastic may I add!) But im still worried aobut the DREADFULL DRONING that can come with ordinary setups from people who dont know what there doing or talking about! What the best way of getting the car to sound Throaty like a V8? Im going to drop past professional exausts on monday? andbody been there? Your thoghts?
