  1. A mate used to have a Diesel D22, I would not recommend. 2 rear diffs and one front diff blown. Lucky all replaced under warranty. He upgraded just after the warranty ran out as he found out the injectors and clutch were pretty much gone at 80000kms.
  2. I reakon the price included a new gearset as the old one was "whining"
  3. This is for FG MK1- My bro has an 08 XR with lux pack but it has no ipod and bluetooth, therfore the tech pack was another option. After a certain date they included the tech pack along with the lux pack upgrade as far as I know.
  4. 2nd gear limiter burnouts - the car loves it!
  5. HD Springs and a load leveling kit on the van should be ok. 1200kgs is not that much if setup right.
  6. No luck with the scan. Looks like it doesn't work with the FGs.
  7. Torque App - Can't get the trans temp working in a FG. 221674 doesn't work for a FG, it looks like it is working for BFs. Anyone out there got it working for an FG?
  8. Got any pics of this setup? I was thinking of doing the same on mine. I am not too interested in running the SSL/SSSL combo.
  9. VIC Septimus STOCK A6 XR6T Sedan - Heathcote 12.74 @ 110mph 1.95 60ft Times were getting faster before we had to leave- 12.94, 12.85, 12.79, 12.74
  10. I am having the same problem. Bought a second hand colour screen and swaped it, replacing the mono colour one. So I only replaced the screen and not the whole ICC. Bluetooth works (using my original module) but the ipod function doesn't. The seller told me that Bluetooth would have worked as the car that the screen was taken off did have it. He didn't say anything about the ipod which leads me to believe that it didn't have it. bionicxr6t05 - How would I go about enabling the AIM (ipod module)?
  11. FG XR6T 2011 Feb A6 No So far it looks like all F6s have em and early BA turbos.
  12. No, You have to buy the pillar and the grill together. It's classed as one part number.
  13. Make sure you are using the correct viscosity oil. Used to get loud lifter noise in my AU when using thicker oil, went thinner and after a week the lifter noises dissappeared. Worth a shot before changing all your lifters.
  14. I bought a 2011 FG XR6T from Pickles auctions a few months ago with 62000kms. I called up the ford dealer that serviced it and asked about their service schedule for highway patrol cars. They said it was serviced as per the Ford handbook, every 15000kms and brakes were inspected/changed every 5000kms. When I got it, it had new front rotors and new pads all round. Looks they are some sort of dusty metallic ones like Bendix ultimates maybe. The second battery in the dual battery setup that comes in these cars is only to run the accessories, it won't help to crank if the primary one fails. It's an optima yellow so it's a good one to replace your standard one. The car is a little rough around the edges but it's a good buy if you can live with small scratches here and there.
