  4. Thanks mate! I'm gonna swap out all the speakers and just try a 8 inch sub, if I'm not happy with it I'll run a fiberglass box sub in the boot. What about the amp? Leave it stock?
  5. Thanks mate. Hey what size are the stock speakers on the parcel shelf?
  6. Hello, I recently bought a BFII XR8 after my BA XR6 got boring. I LOVE the XR8 it makes such a cool noise and has all the bells and whistles. Anyway it has the premium sound with the dual zone climate control. I was thinking of changing out the sub to a similar 8 inch open air sub of better quality and changing the two speakers on the parcel shelf to decent 6X9s, and upgrading to a better amp, I want to run it off the standard ICC and not have to put in a new head unit as I think they look tacky and want to keep the stock look. Obviously I'm not looking for massive bass, and am not going to put a 12 in the boot. Will the 6X9s fit straight in where the stock ones are? Have any of you ever done similar things? Could you please help me? Thanks guys.

  8. Hey, So I just put a Growler on my car and am absolutely loving it! My questions is does the big mouth fit straight in to the growler or is there cutting involved?
  9. Thanks mate I'll give it a go and reply results. Does the car need to be on while I do it? I now realize how stupid that was ^^^ Also I followed this. all you have to do is: 1. open the bonet 2. start the car up 3. take the p/steering cap off then screw it back on 4. turn the wheel lock right then lock left then centre it 5. unscrew the p/steering cap, it should make a hissing noise, then screw it back on 6. repeat steps 4 & 5 about 3-4 times then it should be alright. what I normally do before I jack up a b series is open the p/steering cap and leave it off. when they get an air lock they do the shuddering. some b series cars will do it if you go over a speed hump and then turn the wheel at low speeds........go figure! And it did nothing?
  10. Hey guys, I'm having trouble with my car (03 BA XR6 N/A). Almost every time I turn sharply at very low speeds (under 15kmph) it makes like a rubbing or shuddering type thing, the car shakes. I don't really know how to explain it really as it's a bit odd. It's always happened but very rarely until today, now it does it near on every time. I've just had my discs machined today if that counts for anything. Does anyone have an idea of what this may be or have had it happen to them? I can record it if you request. Please help, Cheers!
  11. Thanks heaps Dazzler! You've been a huge help! Now I've just got to wait a few weeks until I get paid :D
  12. Dazzler, What brands would you recommend for the cat, cat back and underdrive?
  13. Hey man thanks for the advice! I'm just wondering if this is good for a daily driver? Because you're talking about times when I just want a daily driver with a bit of go.
  14. Brands? Should I bother with a full system or just headers and cat? Ratio of diff gears? KW like to get out of it? I would do it with my brother because he's a 3rd year apprentice mechanic, but sadly he's in jail. Any other suggestions
  15. I'm definitely not willing to take it that far, just looking for decent exhaust and extractors as well as some other cheap mods. Thanks anyway mate.
