  2. Dont worry about looking at your pedals. It seems the wire colours have been changed along the harness changover. If anyone has a wiring schematics on the fg computer and accelerator pedal it would be greatly appreciated..

Hey all, As some of you may have seen, I am making my GU Patrol a Barra turbo powered GU Patrol We'v got the car running and stuff and the wankers at FPSpares sent me a ba/bf pedal box for my FG! The harness has been made for me with a plug to suit ba/bf accelerator pedal plug. I have now got an fg pedal and I need someone to run down though their fg for me and write down the wiring colours for me from pin 1 to pin 6, I.e top to bottom. Help will be greatly appreciated as this means I may be able to take it for a drive this arv :D If you have an answer for me could you please post on here and maybe send me a pic and the list of colour to 0411164088 Greatly appreciated.
  4. Nooby Question here, But just making sure... Coolant flow in a fg turbo. does it flow engine, thermostat, radiator, pump, engine...... and so on? im trying to work out my heater hoses. Cheers
  5. that's unlucky mate. I know where your comming from with the bogus tracking numbers etc though cos I got that run around form them with my computer. This engine is really clean, But kinda wishin I just bought the half cut instead of engine aye.
  6. Hence why I got mine vin/engine checked the fg was a 2010 green 6 speed manual ute. computer said built 10/09 and was a green manual ute

Yeah iv got a mate at our local ford dealership who I got to do a engine check n stuff on it and it checks out. if it dont go ill be on the next plane down and in their shop abusing the sh*t outta them That trans coolant pipe can I just block it off with some hose and stopper? how much pressure will be there?
  8. yeah mate I know what you are talking about. But I got the fg motor for $5500 freighted to rocky and its got 5400km's on it so im happy with that but unhappy with the rest of the bullsh*t I had to endure. Question... Are bothe the o2 sensors the same type? I can get an 02 sensor form allied parts for $65. or one from ford for $240.
  9. 1HD is a cruiser motor, Cruiser r sh*t See this is where I mean that ford pro wreckers are f*n sh*t. I paid for everything out of a fg 6 speed ute and got the motor, ba pedal box, ba p/steer pump, fg starter, 4.0 na computer (3 weeks later), then I got an auto turbo computer that bullet performance flashed to manual etc for me (thanks Matt) So pic 3 is is another thing I need to buy, r u sure its not the boost solenoid? I have the boost solenoid plugged in on d's near p/steer, alternator connectors. The rear o2 sensor will be in this location because the patrols exhaust run down the p/side. Im gonna have to go buy a rear o2 sensor so the exhaust shop can fit it whe they do the exhaust.
  10. 3. to my knowledge I have no spare sensors/plugs attached to the engine, but all these plugs are at the ecu end. but it is a custom loom for plug and play into the nissan. Il have a look tomorrow and get back to you's, cheers
  11. Thanks for all the info guys, Yeah its gonna be thirsty but its also gonna be hella fun! Its getting tuned by Dave at CPV, Hoping for a full tune of 400bhp The engine itself is out of a 6 speed manual (well I thought it was) If had massive dramas with ford pro spares trying to get all my stuff so id advise steer clear of em unless u can go into their office and make sure u get the right stuff. Its a pricey conversion but its still working out to be just as expensive as putting a 6 litre in it and trying to make that to 400bhp. I did start a thread a while ago on it but really dont have the time to keep updating it and taking pics.
  12. Hi All, I am in the process of doing a 09 FG XR6T engine conversion into my GU patrol (used to be zd30 3l turbo deisel til it crapped itself), I am having problems identifying the following items any help will be appreciated.
  13. Can anyone tell me what diameter a BA/BF XR6t Flywheel is? Is It 266.7mm 10.5''??? Also can anyone tell me if a FG one is 333.7mm 13.13" ring gear to ring gear? with 157 teeth? The drama I am having is iv got a ea-bf bellhousing adaptor and I cant get A the flywheel to fit into it far enough... (problem overcome with angle grinder ) and B I cant get the starter motor to engage deep enough to get to the ring gear. Have the bellhousings changed between the bf and fg's? if they have I dare say they may have pushed the starter out a bit further and sunk it in towards the flywheel more.... Has anyone tried putting a fg manual box onto their ba/bf with standard ba/bf clutch and flywheel? I really cant work this bit out lol, my other option is run a bf flywheel and clutch and starter motor but I'd rather try keep the fg ones. Any help willl be greatly appreciated, I really want my patrol up and running before christmas.. Cheers Guys

Well I couldnt find a good 4.2l turbo deisel for under 9k second hand. a reco zd30 is 7k with 30 day warranty, rebuild proffesionally are about the 8-12k mark depending on what parts u use, nissan do a rebuild kit with short motor for 15k. this seems fun and powerful so im happy with the choice. It will be running the standard patrol box and transfere case with a dellow automotive conversion bellhousing and custom engine mounts and custom exhaust that about the most major work involved and im getting the two harness's mated together by a conversion expert in brissy. Quick question. im getting a bosch 044 inline pump from surge to motor, what size walbro fo u recommend for intank to fill the surge? with a 255lph be enough?
