  1. Happy Birthday honer!

  2. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/G-G-Technics-Harmonic-Balancer-Puller-Ford-Falcon-AU-BA-6-Cylinder-GGT-101-/160926428046?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2577f66b8e Hey mate.... This is your friend for getting the balancer off while engine is in the car.
  3. BFII F6 03/08 #487 She's probably one of the last.
  4. I nearly popped my shoulder out the socket hooking mine up. Was in pain for the next 2 weeks.
  5. I had the same kind of surge on my car... Drove through a booze bus one night and the cops and his roadside buddies got all judgy wudgy on me about the noise, I told them my power steering pump was on the fritz and after a check over the car they let me be. Put it in the wheely bin and got myself one of the new PW one with 460s.. Nice and quiet.
  6. I've got a the "1000HP" one. I didn't bother mucking around with smaller ones, as they still require cutting and in Perth climate I feel a little extra surface area would be helpful. Looks great as well!
  7. I've got one, I have nothing to compare it to, but it seems quite good. Made 509rwhp with it last week... Mate has the the same and made just over 550. I don't beat the sh*t out of my car though so really can't comment on the heat soak though, nor have I had a summer on it.
  8. Kosij, thanks very much for that! Sticker says it was manufactured April 2010. So I guess I can assume it's a FG long motor then? Sounds like I've had a win for once.
  9. Good idea! Except when I just went to check, no engine number engraved :(
  10. Hi All I recently cracked the block in my BF Typhoon by over tightening the turbo feed oil filter (use a torque wrench!) I brought a motor from a wreckers that was out of a Typhoon in the low 100,000km range. After giving it a look over when I got home, I have found it's an FG block, built 2010 (according to the sticker), and having all the usual identifiers, notched engine mount, 2 possible dipstick locations, extra sensor thread cast into the block. This excited me as it should have quite less km on the engine as then the odo would have read. Possible a warranty job? After a further look, I saw that the aluminum on the front cover, and head looked very "bright" and still have some shiny bits on it, so now I'm wondering if it was a replaced with an FG long motor. Are there any other visual identifiers which may indicate this was a long motor replacement? It's worth noting that this thing doesn't appear to have been tuned (at least majorly), stock injectors as well as standard turbo flapper and actuator.
  11. Happy Birthday honer!

  12. Very much appreciated senna_T, it was actually your posts that I found the most helpful on the topic as well.
  13. Hello everyone I'm looking to lower my 2008 BF2 Phoon I've done a bunch of searching, but I'd just like some confirmation that I'm on the right track here.... I want to run the higher spring rate Kings in the front, KFFL-57/520, I understand I'll need to use a BA/BF strut in order for these to work... Is that correct? Rears, I want to run the KFRL-68SSLHD (Did these supercede KFRL-68SSL/310?) I believe the rears are interchanged without any issues? Cheers
  14. sh*t hey, I see your name a fair bit when I play BF4 mate. Killing me a fair bit too.
