  1. Yes old_mate was right, new switch fitted fixes all. Thanks
  2. Thanks bionic Bought one off ebay (genuine ford) the other day. Would this switch potentially be the cause of the ABS and DSC faults too? Haven't fitted the switch yet, assuming easy to do..? Looks like it just clicks in to a bracket and connect electricial socket.
  3. Hey guys. I need some serious help. About 1000kms after my last service, which included the front rotors being machined. I have been getting intermittent ABS and DSC faults which stay on until I cycle the ignition. It would be ok for a while in a straight line on a hwy (for 150kms) yet when I braked harsh or broke before a hard corner the faults would appear again. It was very frustrating as I had my young daughter in the car, so was stressing that the ABS was off. I took it to the workshop that serviced the car, they visually inspected the wheel sensors (did not remove them) and connected a scan tool- These 3 codes were there- C1288 - Pressure transducer main/ primary input circuit failure. U2501 - Missing token from engine management sys for ACC C1991 - Module calibration failure. Note- I saw these code descriptions on the scan tool, yet the mechanic only wrote the codes not the descriptions, I found these online. So I hope they are accurate. Also after mentioning that my cruise wouldn't work sometimes since all of this. They checked my brake lights. I watched as very intermittently upon pressing the brake, the lights would not light up. This is even more worrying. I've looked into a new brake switch which I confident I can fit myself. Could this switch be the cause of all my problems? Or what are the codes relating to? as the workshop have now referred me to Ford. Would rather get it sorted myself if I can. Thanks in advance for your help on this.
  4. Ace would you like to incorporate a stage 2 extended run out towards Toowoomba for those that wish to get out and see some country? Obviously members who aren't afraid of slightly rough roads, bumps and leaves.
  5. Thanks for the advice. I will look into it. Sometimes it's easier to just let them pay for it than have to fork out a grand and wait 2 weeks for the cash back. My novated lease cost me heaps as it is per mth. Should just upgrade to an r spec all black no badges.
  6. Drove to bris for an appointment to fit the tyres, only to get a call on the way down, saying the warehouse only had 3 not 4 and a wait of 2 wks now follows. Oh well only drive it a few times a f/night. Invos would of been good, yet the fleet don't have a supplier for them have to use the big names. Goodyear it is when I can get them. Cheers guys.
  7. anyone out and about tonight and or tomorrow night? Coming down to Brisneyland for a few days and be nice to go on a short cruise somewhere.
  8. Booked in for the goodyear asy 2. Will comment after I give it a good run in.
  9. Yeah passanger and drivers. I believe my rotor/s are a bit warped. Got to get that sorted very soon. Not sure where to take it as ford in toowoomba are sh*t... so I've been told. Any suggestions to the problems and tyre choice?
  10. Nice trophy Bomber. Hope to catch up with you guys on the next cruise. I've been sussing out a route from Tbar north west towards and past the Oakey air museum and back to toowoomba on the hwy. I have been frequenting this road and it has some awesome 40km sharp bends. Waiting for some new tyres to really test it out as it can get a little slippery at the moment.
  11. I'm due for some new tyres as my year old dunlop sport max TT have bad sholder wear after 15,000Ks. Not to happy. Have had 2 wheel alignments (one when fitted and one 6 mths after that) So what is the best to get? Money is no problem as it's a lease vehicle. Goodyear? Bridgestone? Or is there a better dunlop tyre out than the TT. Any help would be appreciated as I haven't had much time lately for research.
  12. Sounds good to me. Count me in Tab. On a side note- just found out if you get disqualified from holding a licence, when you get it back you have 4 points for 1yr and 0 alcohol limit. Like being on your Ps again. New rules that have slipped through recently so I'm told by QLD Tpt.
  13. Hey Tab, did that cruise out west through the bunyas ever happen?
  14. That would be good, might even let you drive the car there and I could drive it back.... :sungum:
