  1. just had Nitto NT05 fitted this morning , 245 F and 275 R. Initial impressions are very good, slightly more road noise than the Yokohama AVS103 they replace but heaps more traction...and that's with less than 20klms on them. The Yokies, although still having tread were completely shot and could not hold 2nd gear kick down or even rolling WOT in 2nd without spinning both and stepping out big time.
  2. Lucky you got the 19s, the 18s look tiny in CH style wheels. Good choice.
  3. Shockworks coilovers and superpro control arm bushes, aggressive alignment, forged or light cast wide wheels and sticky rubber will make a big difference. Then learn how to drive it. Though a Oz DC5R, isn't the real deal and not a patch on the JDM DC5R (or Oz DC2R for that matter) it will always feel more nimble.

    My Gt 335

yes correct Pat. Both Japanese wheels though....F6 had 18's, GT has 19's. Another mod it has is black painted panda eyes and rear diffuser :sungum:

    My Gt 335

G'day Guys, I've had this beast for a few months now, 2011 GT / ZF / Advan RZ / H&R Springs with Bilsteins. The colour scheme is reminiscent of my old F6 but sounds a lot different ! Love the feel of the charged 8 and glad I went with the ZF (getting old)
  6. ok finally got this sorted......dealer replaced seat base
  7. Timetaker, any luck mate? I've got the exact same problem...FG GT only 15k klms.
  8. Yep same one Steve, same user name yep, flashed all to stock
  9. Hi Adam, no mods other than mild engine and ZF tune and a set of wheels.
  10. G'day Fellas...got a curly one and appreciate some thoughts on this Picked up a 2011 GT from Melbourne last week, 13k klms only, ZF, had a Herrod Engine and ZF tune on it and 19x9 245/35 front and 19x10 275/30s rear. Car had not been used much last few months. Brought it back to Sydney with the Herrod tune in it, no dramas at all performed well, shifts were firm but no dramas at all. When I got it home I decided to flash the stock engine and trans tune into it to see how it went - my thinking was that the stock trans tune might be a better option for daily driving. This is where it all went pear shaped....took it out after flashing to stock and trans went haywire. In auto, under light throttle would flare up on 2-3 shift, not shift into 3rd and then slam into 4th with a big bang...ie. enough to flash TCS and then go into limp after a few klms. Spoke to Herrod who suggested disconnecting battery, did that, even overnight....didnt sort it. On advice drove it around with a view that the the trans would self learn and sort itself out....no dice. Had it towed up to my tuner who has tried flashing new ZF tunes and even got the trans recovery file from Herrod/SCT......no luck....he drove it for hours, didnt come good. Flashed back to stock its still buggered. So this is where I am at now, doing some reading on other forums and chatting with a ZF guru on friday afternoon has lead me to a few possible causes and their outcomes.. I am hoping it is something very simple - and not a full trans and tcm replacement. Appreciate any thoughts / tips....as you can imagine its an absolute p1sser with a car I've had for a week.
  11. Again.....BF F6s do not have DSC. They have TC.
  12. that's a hard one. cash + time it is for me. personally I'm over mucking around with mods, bar suspension and tyres lol. If its a new F6 with springs and bilsteins vs a modded 13 year E46, I'll take the F6 (low klm demo) on a 3 year novated lease. one day when I am in a position to pull $ from the business rather than constantly reinvest to fund growth (working capital) I may take a different view....
  13. Thanks for the input Bunna. The constant bagging is part and parcel of a brand specific forum, go to any forum and you'll get similar. XR09 - might want to research E46 floor pan / subframe crack before you add all that power.....oh and search Vanos repair too. Purchase price is only a small part of the story.... also have to have a chuckle about F6s being sh*t on track........FG F6 1.09.9 stock auto at wakefield...on stock dunlop tyres. compare stock STI and Evo X on their stock tyres (which are far lower treadwear rating than the dodgy dunlops) and you will see the F6 is a long way from being embarassed! then consider that the F6 is a whole size larger, and on worse tyres.....there is very little in it, which is commendable given the F6 is a grand tourer, and not a rally special.
