  1. Sounds like your flex plate has come loose mate, stop driving it and get it seen to asap ! to confirm if it’s a flexplate that has come loose do this for a very short period to test then switch off immediately Start car put into reverse wait for rattle/knock to appear put foot hard on brake put foot on accelerator a touch and bring some load onto the transmission whilst maintaining the foot brake hard if the noise seems to disappear in this “Loading” state it’s 100% a loose flex plate and switch off and get it towed to a workshop for rectification works continue to run the engine can lead to excessive crank shaft to flex plate mating surfaces wear which can mean a new crank shaft and that’s a rebuild of the engine basically Let us know how you go
  2. Less than that, now stop talking on the forum and send me a P.M ya muppet
  3. That’s far far far from a stock or even mild built engine so not even comparable to 99% of punters set ups
  4. Not much that you could tangibly record with the small turbo, factory cat back flows well enough upto -350rwkw across multiple turbochargers its a sound thing on the small turbo only really but obviously a good mod in line for more power later
  5. All depends on the sound you want, SS is as described above as in MS described above Both systems will out live the vehicle in normal operation but yes SS does have an “Expected” longer life span send me a P.M and I can ship you one to your door for less than RRP/Ebay prices
  6. Ehhhhhh ? We use Co2 to control the Gate pressure on top of base spring and Nitrous to bring the turbo up on converter with the ute. We can only make about 2psi against the converter with pure stall but with Nitrous we can see 7psi in like a 1-1.5 seconds against the trans brake which is moving the 1900HP 88mm XPR turbo fast and that’s the limit we’ve set, could easy go mid teens with extended time Co2 is a dead gas, it’s $10 to fill the bottle, it’s used as a pressure source only, Nitrous is $200 to fill and uses it’s immense energy to move gas flow fast to spool the turbo
  7. 4.4% higher to be specific…. Isn’t Frankston all of Melbourne as Bankstown is all of Sydney @k31th haha ?
  8. @ratter - Mick @ Pitlane would definitely do it mate ! Even I went there from Little old Adelaide once, for other reasons but extremely professional
  9. Brilliant looking power generation @Tom Tucker, Great build and a all round package. The built engine is where it all gets to shine and we ( the stock bottom end fellas ) know this. I’ve just selected a new G40-900 Vband in/out in 1.06 configuration for a customer Build who’s after something extremely specific on a SBE BF turbo. I believe the G40 is really going to fit the bill for the “Built” engine folks in the 1150 spec as you’ve mentioned too Your G35 is seriously hard to go past too though and that response is second to none ! Here is the G40-900 (left) in comparison with one of my Go-To GTX G2 3582’s (right) @Puffwagon We’re just warming up the ProMod88 More updates later on
  10. Think it’s @CJF077 @ 19 years 5 months
  11. Yes that’s the one, I’m just lucky or unlucky enough to do his ford stuff for him haha but yes that’s where I call it home for everything I require as Anthony has been good support over the years and it’s only fair it flows both ways But this is extremely common for workshops to sub out what they aren’t proficient in and why not always have the best for each job you got on just like I’m having Anthony help do one of my customers who’s in for a R32 GTR build through me at JD TUNING ADELAIDE
  12. I’m hearing ya mate Thinking about maybe sticking in this Greentop I just built vs the Gas guzzler so I can get some MPG lol
  13. Can’t believe Warnie bunked it !!
  14. Solid results mate, can’t wait to hear your thoughts after driving it ! What size rear did you go ? 1.01 ?
  15. Haha Gezzz that’s when the forum use to be a solid laugh, miss those days #nofacebookforanyone
