  1. Holy fark FG F6 uninsured???? I've got to admit I'm super jelly :o I wouldn't have dreamed of a car like that in my early 20's, was lucky to have a car at all haha!
  2. Hope to get my ute tuned by these guys soon with similar mods, can't wait
  3. Bit of closure to this, took it in to the dealer and they said they couldn't get it to screw up but replaced the module anyway. It's working mint now :D
  4. LOL! Sounds like I should sell it when the warranty is up, but I love my ute <3 I'll book it into the nearest dealer to get it sorted, bit of a pain in the arse but at least it's not going to cost me.
  5. Ah that's a relief! Does it matter what dealer I take it to, I bought the car second hand so the original dealer is a ways away.
  6. Today my air-con appears to have given up, I can put it on L and it still blows what is basically warm air, noticed this when it was getting steaming hot inside the car Has anyone else had issues with their air-con? It's still under warranty so I'll book it in to get it sorted out but I was curious if anyone else had a similar issue?
  7. Should I get the pump + surge tank just to be safe?

    Fg Tailshafts

my ute is lowered an inch with those lowering blocks.. it's a manual, should I be worried? I have plenty of drive line shunt but I hear that's normal? I'd rather it didn't sh*t itself to be honest haha.

    Fg Ute Axle Tramp

I have an 09 manual, it's lowered an inch and has 20's, only seems to tramp if you are giving it the berries and you grab second and hit some bumps when breaking traction... only had it do it once with the DSC on, only once with it off too come to think of it. I've only ever had it do it on bumps, that's what seems to upset it? I also expected it to be more taily than it is, in the wet it's border line scary but in the dry it doesn't seem to spit sideways as easy as I was expecting! Regardless of the quirks I love my ute
  10. I have an 09 FG ute, manual, I was curious if I wanted to get it tuned to the ~300rwkw mark (or even a little bit more), what mods should I be looking at? The key here is I want it to be reliable, it's all well and good to have some extra stick but I'd rather it didn't go bang as a result! I was thinking of a bigger cooler, different intake (process west race air box?), bigger injectors, high flow cat, bigger fuel pump + surge tank, maybe a clutch (the stock one won't cope will it?) and the flash tuner. Any recommendations on parts to use and what to steer clear of? Anyone know a good tuner on the Gold Coast? Also I wanted to fit a lot of the parts myself just to save some cash and I enjoy tinkering anyway but I understand some things I can't put on til it's tuned like the injectors for example.
  11. Thanks for the info! I'll give it a test run this weekend and see how it ties up with the standard points just with my bike. I'll look in to putting some channels up the front for long trips, I found some pics of other peoples setup I'll most likely just mimmick that!
  12. Hey all, I basically bought my ute to take my sports bike to the track. I was wondering if I need to add any tie down points or a channel for the front wheel to make this work the best? I will be going long distances (~1000km's at times) with the bike(s) in so it will have to be well secured. I haven't tried yet but I could probably tie one bike in ok with what's already available standard tie down point wise but two might require some magic and I want the flexibility of taking two bikes without dramas. the other thing is the ute is lowered an inch with blocks, would I have to take them out or should it be fine like that? I don't mind either way, I need function over looks otherwise it defeats the purpose of me having it lol... any info would be appreciated
  13. cheers I bought the car privately and they were already fitted, they are G-max defiant's I believe
  14. Finally got myself an XR6T! I love this thing, I'm impressed with how fast it goes standard! Should do nicely at carting my bikes around Thread is useless without pics of course:
