  5. na I got and put it on myself, yeah I'm pretty sure it is that so I'm going to get it balanced any way.
  6. hi, I've just had my clutch and tailshaft replaced, but when I put my foot into it I get a shuddering feeling through it, it feels just like if the rear wheels are out of balance. also get it at higher speeds. could it be the tail shaft out of balance??? has anyone had this problem before???
  7. hey just wondering if anyone knows the exhaust outlet and copressor inlet size for the standard turbo?
  8. yeah in s.a. its at rebel ford in elizabeth still in pieces at the moment. yeah hopefully if I got time tomorrow during work I can go see my legal officer and ask her bout it. its in adelaide, yeah I'm looking at that option at the moment if ford don't come to the party. cheers yeah I did but it didn't really get me any where except on hold for an hour! they gave me to options really, pay to get it fixed or get it done yourself.
  9. hi, I got a 2004 mkII xr6 turbo ute which has done just under 97000km's, when the bearing in the turbo let go making a funny sound, took it to ford as the ute is still in warranty, they pulled it apart and found that the turbo oil supply line filter was blocked stopping oil getting to the turbo, ford are voiding the warranty due to the fact that it wasn't serviced at a ford dealer, and said that they therefore didn't know what oil was put in it, so they put it under normal wear and tear and said I would be footing the bill for it to get fixed. I thought this is bullsh*t considering its always been serviced and that it is fully stock. they also rattled some bull sh*t that they suppose to clean the oil supply line filter every service but there is nothing about it in the service manual. I had a mate that worked at ford 3 years back in sydney, he worked on my many xr6 turbos and never ever did he have to clean a supply line filter for the turbo or drain anything special or anything like that, ever ! During that 3 years, he was told and shown that the service for an xr6 turbo was no different from a normal xr6 or xr8 or falcon for that matter! He also experienced first hand, other ford customers getting ripped off in similar ways, ford continously focused on makin a profit from the customers rather than customer satisfaction etc etc. That was the reason he quit, felt bad working for a company that was misleading and treatin customers poorly and unfairly. The customers had to keep coming back because once again, the warranty would be void if the went anywhere else....the customer had no choice. I dont know what to do.....any help or opinions would be great. the price ford gave me for just the parts was $4800 with out labour, havin a look around, a T70 turbo I can get for around $355, it's a T3 flanged turbo so it'll fit right onto the standard manifold, then I'll need a wastegate, aftermarket ecu, new exhaust, intercooler piping, it will still workout to be much cheaper than anything ford could ever imagine doing!
