  3. yes unfortunately, comments with too much truth in them have that 'ouch' effect.. just pointing out fact, not a personal attack or anything...
  4. Coming to a theater near you... " this summer, One Man versus and entire FORD community, hopelessly outnumbered and against all odds, he will seek out all anti-Expensive Daewoo posts and defend them, he is determined, he is relentless, he is...... D A G A B O N D ! " Rated R for Ridiculous.
  5. Yeah I think their moods are largely determined by who's handing out the most cash... ....and as for MOTOR, Expensive Daewoo is obviously handing out all the cash there, they feature at LEAST twice as much Expensive Daewoo crap in their mags than Fords... *ughh* .. and you'll never see a realistic real-world 0-100 time for a Ford in that mag, but you'll see plenty of bullsh*t 'Expensive Daewoo quoted' times, even if they know they'll never achieve them in real life...
  6. Actually, it's not a TAXI, it's his new car. And a damn nice one at that ! ..... not sure what thread your'e lookin at 'BRO' ...
  7. Awww racoons are cute... not make fun of racoooonnn.... But seriously, if its such an issue why not just get a panel shop to paint those black/grey bits to match so it looks more like a GT-E ... dont tell me you guys think the GT-E looks crap too?
  8. funny you should mention those, I was looking at them just last week thinking that's different, wonder what they would look like... might need to do some photochopping and have a look see..
  9. Slightly off topic but what tyre pressure do you guys recommend for the standard Dunlop SP3000s fitted on the 17" BF rims? is 38psi too little or too much?
  10. Ok time for an update.. I bought the FPV wheel and a genuine ford amplified ipod input module the other day and should be installing them both this weekend (must say the FPV wheel feels nice and meaty compared to the standard XR one) ... Anybody have a link for installing it ? Also whats the procedure for taking the gear lever surround/covers off to install the ipod amp? G.
  11. Ohhh EL GT wheel.... I reckon my wife would love one of those on her EF FAIRMONT... only problem is, can you actually still get them from anywhere? and how much would one cost?
  12. Thanks for the advice guys, think ill buy it, sounds like a very nice steering wheel and a decent upgrade over the standard leather wrapped XR one. Ohh and BAman, $450? bastard! lool.. the guy selling it to me wanted $600 originallly, will actually cost me $550 but its a brand new one, never used before and ill treat it like its made of glass lol ... ahh welll as long as it lasts and doesnt fall apart quickly or anything then its worth it...
  13. Hi all, Thinking of buying an FPV steering wheel from ebay for my BFII XR for $500. Is this price reasonable or a ripoff? Does anyone know what they are worth to buy new from Ford, I've heard people say they are worth $900, others say $1600, WTF ? I've seen some people say they got theirs for only $250 on ebay but I cant find a new one on there for less than $500! Lastly is it even worth buying one to replace the leather wrapped XR steering wheel, how much better is the FPV one in comparison? (Only info I could find searching the forums is about them wearing quickly, something I hadnt considered as my current XR one is still mint after a year!) So what do you reckon, is this a worthwhile upgrade or a waste of money really? Appreciate any help as I need to let the guy know by the end of today, the fpv wheel I'm talking about looks like this one minus the logo on the bottom left:
  14. Thanks for the helpful info exarsixturbo.... It's actually a BF-II NA XR6 and just hit 10,000kms on the clock ... not sure if the diff would still be tight at this stage .. the car was an ex demo with 5,000kms on it when bought and was fully optioned by the dealer but not sure if they picked the LSD option or not. I see your point about being more predictable in the wet, even with it being easier to get sideways, I guess with traction control turned on though it shouldnt have any problems keeping itself in line...
