  1. Hopefully none of those few remaining followers find they're "no longer interested", hey, Puff? That'd be a real shame. 🤭
  2. Somewhere in the middle? $125 for a half-arsed tune? 🤔
  3. Do you have an A/C gas machine at home? My Territory A/C didn't work too well on the drive back from Brisbane, so that's another *potential* thing I'll need to get sorted.
  4. That's very disappointing. I'd hate to see how bad the cheaper covers which actually had poor reviews are! 😳
  5. I saw 417rwkw posted up which was what I was referring to when I asked the question. 370rwkw, no worries on the later BF and beyond. I was just concerned about 400+rwkw.
  6. Awesome car, mate! I live around the corner from Jonny Tig's workshop. I wanted this cooler for my FG, but he told me he doesn't make them anymore. Hopefully this combo is still going strong for you. Jonny said he'd consider making a batch if a few people wanted them at the same time.
  7. How's the stock bottom end holding up?
  8. Aren't those types a little on the clunky side?
  9. I'll watch with keen interest @biddie_fiddler I've just bought a house a few months back and there isn't a lot of under cover parking here until I build my shed and carport. That's a little while off, though. I work FIFO, so my cars sit around for weeks at a time. I get the misso to take them to work once or twice while I'm away, but they've been really copping it in this Adelaide summer. If you rate this car cover I might look at getting one or two. Literally the only good thing about my old rental was the huge carport.
  10. I just smashed out a sesh at the gym. It's fly-out day tomorrow, so I've got to get my stuff ready for tomorrow and finalise any last chores around the house. I've also got to get the F6X back together so I can move it as it's blocking the driveway. Nothing major, just the cross over pipe, intercooler, airbox and hoses.
  11. I fell off the rails for a few years due to Covid. It's no excuse, but the last couple of years have bee all over the shop for me, with work being crazy and hardly being home. I found a new local gym and the missus and I have both joined up to. The gym at work is great, now that I'm back to working near decent camp facilities. I'm hoping for a big year with a lot of gainz, both in the gym and on the dyno. It's time to get myself and my cars on a health kick and back into tip-top shape! 💪
  12. Mornin'! What's everyone's plans for today! Hopefully the weather is as glorious from wherever you're reading this from as it is in the City of Churches.
  13. Well, I finally got through all 149 pages of this thread. Last night the missus headed off to bed about 22:00 and asked if I was going to stay out in the lounge. I told her I'd probably stay up and watch something. I ended up reading the the thread through to its entirety. @Puffwagon you're a mad man. I'd love to see this this monsterously powerful behemoth at roll racing this year. So, anyway, this morning the misso asks, "what did you end up watching last night?" to which I responded, "Ummm... nothing, actually. I just read a story titled Puffwagon's Territory Adventures." After a double-take and a few seconds pause, says, "I don't really want to know... lol". I told her that Puffwagon is like a much faster version of the F6X. She says, "Okay, honey... can you please get a brew on. 😂
  14. I can vouch for having heard the same thing. From what I've read, Atomic used another brand (Nason I think it was) for its tensioners and these are reportedly the ones supplied in the problematic batch. I was told many moons ago by someone in the know that it's always ideal to retain the factory tensioner for as long as possible as it has an in-built check valve that retains oil pressure in the tensioner, thus limiting load that can be applied to the tensioner teeth. Atomic is otherwise a great company who's produced quality products for Barras for the last two decades. I'll still be using all of their products if/when the need arises, sans the timing chain tensioner.
  15. We commonly adopt this method of using "mousing wire" as we call it on drilling rigs when it's critical that fasteners don't undo themselves.
  16. Ah yeah. She gets pretty hot up that way, for sure. I've only just moved south after living in Gawler for many years. My ex was also from Clare, so we'd head up there a bit and damn, it got hot all around that area in summer.
  17. Where in S.A. are you? It's only 38°C down my way and I'm about to head to Port Noarlunga with the misso for a dip. 😎
  18. It's so much harder to find information on Facebook than on a forum. What got me back onto this forum was all of the great information that surfaced through my Google searching. A lot of the general info on this forum is still very much relevant today. However, the loss of forum site sponsors both here and on AFF is a big loss, not only for the respective sites' bottom line, but esp for the forum members. Trying to find a good tuner/workshop is a lot more difficult now. The good tuners 10+ years ago are either closed down, or have "turned to 💩" if you believe all of the anecdotes out there. The demise of the web forum is a huge loss. I hate Facebook's layout, and Reddit is just as terrible in that regard. Trying to follow a thread in chronological order is impossible. I'll hang around here, for sure. I've spent the last five years in the doldrums, diligently saving for a house deposit after walking away from a failed marriage with nothing. Thanks to Covid, my three year plan turned out to be five years of protracted pain, and a mortgage which ended up being $250k more than what the same house was worth four years prior. In any case, I can now divert my funds from savings, to my cars. I've purchased within the last two months, build number two F6X Territory, and it's in need of both love, and a lot more power.
  19. My misso is a vet. Just be warned, $6k is only scratching the surface from what she's told me. Brachycephalic dogs, esp Frenchies, come with inherent health complications.
  20. You could be like the ex-Mayor of Geelong, Darryn Lyons, and have surgery.
  21. How in the hell did Facebook car groups render forum / message boards redundant? I'm by far not a prolific poster. However, I read a lot and this forum is a fantastic resource. Trying to find information on a Facebook group search function is about as successful as a blind man using a torch to see. Forums were great communities back in the day. Facebook is a cesspool of egotistical flogs. I don't get it.
  22. I'd love to know of Turbo Territory front rotors will fit on an FG XR6T. I need to do pads on my FG and would prefer not to do Brembos as I'd also need new wheels. However, if I could fit the 340mm rotors onto the front with the larger caliper and 328mm rear rotors, it'd make for a very nice little upgrade coupled with some good pads.
  23. Interesting. I was talking with a certain workshop in Victoria that has a lot of experience with the Territory platform and I was told that at 400awkw, I would experience fuel surge without a surge tank of some description. I did ask if they would send a fuel system which they've developed over the border and the answer was no. So, I've been in two minds about whether or not to bolt up what I can myself, then drive over and have them fit the rest of the parts and tune it. I'm pretty handy with the tools, but I have a poor setup at home with a sloping driveway, and my shed/hoist is still a while away, so I won't be able to do the Territory fuel system as it needs to be dropped, unlike my FG. It's all a matter of finding a reputable workshop here in S.A. that's a problem. So much conflicting information I hear, which just leaves me with more questions than answers. I hope it is as easy as fitting a 460 Walbro with the requisite wiring upgrades for my intended power levels. If I can be good to go, with the likelihood of fuel surge being low, with such a run-of-the-mill upgrade, I'd be stoked. I appreciate your response.
  24. Thanks for detailing your experiences. I do not plan on running any more than 400awkw. I want to keep the stock bottom end, while doing valve springs and also pump gears/head studs if necessary. I know that a 525 walbro will almost certainly flow enough for what I want, however, it's the inevitable surge from a poorly baffled fuel tank that I want to alleviate.
  25. @Puffwagon I'm sure you've gone over it before, but to save me from trawling through 150 pages, are you able to give me a run-down of what you've done by way of fuelling, specifically with an anti-surge tank setup? As you'd know there's absolutely nothing available off-the-shelf, so I'd be keen to hear about what someone who's (reliably) running big power through a Territory Turbo has done to make it work. I've searched this forum and Territory Facebook pages, with the latter only uncovering a range of different setups, many which are cheap/dodgy looking, and ended up being unreliable.
