Its a sad thing that Ford has decided to pull funding from iconic teams such as DJR, Britech and Team Vodafone. In the last year or two these two teams alone have had more podium finishes and even won bathhurst. What have FPR and SBR done latley??

Since the departure of Ambrose and the move by Ingall, SBR has'nt made a dent in the series. FPR have only been doing well in the last few months after getting their engines, pit stops etc together...

Dont contaminate the iconic sport of Holden v Ford, a partner race of mixed marques, fair enough. Leave V8 supercars alone!!!

I really cant see why they couldnt at least bring Crysler into the series.
And dont forget that Toyota is competing in NASCAR. How weird's that.

Pull the front diff on a GTR and it will still walk all over the local taxi jobs!

The good old days of Group C with the flaired wheel arches and big range of cars, made it fun to watch.
The sterile V8 Supercar series we have now is just plain boring. I used to watch almost every V8 race, but I have not watched more than a hour so far this year.
Last year was about the same. It is like watching NZ vs Australia in football every weekend. The only difference is who is scoring the tries.

I prefer the Sports sedans, Nations cup, Porsches and Aussie Racing cars.

BRING BACK REAL RACE CARS AND REAL RACERS........

As a youngin (25..compared to most of you old people :p) I dont really give 2 sh*ts about holden v ford.

I find the v8 supercars boring since the cars look similar (bit like nascar). The dicing and racing itself is decent but i'd much rather cars that have some relevance to the road cars going at it again. If not that at least have more than 2 makes going at it.

I much prefer watching the older footage of Group C and A and like the fact that back then manufacturers actually passed on gains from the race cars to the road cars unlike today which is just a silhoutte format.

I like watching the body roll of the good ol days.

I can hardly tell if im watching a Ford or a Holden go round the track anyways, they all look the same. I think they will stretch out to a much broader viewing audience if other makes were introduced.

Scrap it an bring back group C production cars.

V8 Supercars is a product of Holden. Holden manufactured this so called persona that Bathurst and the ATC was traditionally a V8, Ford v Holden affair. BULLsh*t!

It was all makes and models, which made a Ford and Holden victory all the better, as they were up against real world class competition.

It came about because Holden didn't have any performance cars other than V8s (they stilol don't). Ford had a big pool including the Sierras, Nissan had GTR, etc, etc. The Holdens couldn't compete so they lobied for a V8 sedan only series, of which only Ford and Holden had product to compete with.

The current series also means that the manufacturers don't have to produce any HO products for competition, meaning we're the ones who miss out.
