Im ordering my FG XR6T tommorow and was just wondering how long you have been told to wait is your your new XR6T so I know what I have to expect. Thanks guys.

June 30 and mine has been ordered since end of April.

July 7th, I Ordered mine 1st April!!

Thanks guys, yeah i thought it was going to be a decent wait. I was expecting mid july... if you dont mind me asking what extras did you get and what did you end up paying on road?

As i've mentioned in other threads guys, i'm happy to do a status check on your cars if yopu have the stock number for your vehicle.

Just search Darren Orr Broken Hill, xr6turbo Nitro with lux pack. Should find it, i dunno the number

I ordered mine on the 4th April SIDO 337511. I was told mine was going to be built on the 28th May for early June delivery. Anything you could find out would be great.

Mine was dealer allocated, so the order date doesnt really matter, but i ordered 1st of april and mines due a month after yours!!! Id say your sate might be pushed back as well. Mine went back a full month friday APPARENTLY!! Starting to become bullsh*t IMHO!!

Sorry to tell you Greg, but like the rest of them, your car hasn't been started yet. We are hoping they start this week.

well at least your dealer is being honest mate! Descheduled it is mate, i have SIDOs starting with 336xxx, Greg's is 337xxx and yours is 338090, lets hope they build em quick...

IM guessing the bigger city dealers got theirs allocated first?? They stole my car from another dealer as it was!!! Dunno where from. So does it have any type of ETA even though its DSC??

Looks like i might be waiting a while for mine I have to go through my head office who then go through a leasing company to find out any info and this is what i got told today. I tried to find out the SIDO number.

"No, we cant track the number, as it wont assist with anything.

Ford will release the vehicle ASAP so they can get paid. If he went with the Auto, at the time of the quotation, the delivery time for the Auto was Due in Late June early July, however production has been delayed. At this stage the Manual will be one month after this time as we ordered the Auto via a Factory order.

So, at this stage he is looking at Late July for the delivery of his new manual Falcon, unless there are further delay's"

Im pretty sure we ordered it beginning of April. I guess its my fault for changing to the manual, but i hopefully the pain will be worth it. Ill just enjoy my rental corrolla in the interim

mate nothing has been built, man/auto it doesn't matter. They could've changed the trans so they are just flipping you off...

Had a manual on order since late Feb when the final specs were released, was told back then that it was gonna be a June delivery. Now early July. Don't know anymore than that as our fleet company doesn't supply the SIDO or whatever number until the car arrives at the dealer which is fairly useless.

I think Early July is the date for everyone atm!!!! haha its alomst June now!! none have started to be built!! Lets say it takes 2 weeks to build the car?? 3 - 4 days to get delivered. theres at least 3 weeks into June!!

No-one is getting their car any quicker than anyone else. This delay is costing Ford money because they can't sell these vehicles. This delay is costing dealerships money, this delay is costing me money!

It is not in anyones interest to have this delay go on any longer than it has to, so just try and relax and be happy that you have your order in and secure. Screaming and jumping up and down isn't going to make it happen any quicker.

So please just give it a week...

I just think ford should tell everyone the truth!! Rather then taking our deposits and wasting our time!!

Wasting Time? As i've said, this is not an issue Ford Australia have caused, their suppliers are at fault and are doing everything they can to get the vehicles out ASAP.

First everyone whinges (dealers included) that the Launch was pushed back a month or so to accomodate more stock for launch. Then when there is a problem people can't stand the fact that they have to wait a few more weeks.

If you ordered an XR5T Mondeo in April you would most likely see it in August! If you have a problem with Ford, ring them directly and tell them about it. They can't read your mind, and this forum isn't an official Ford Motor Company Complaints dept.

I spoke to my leasing company today and he told me the rumour he heard yesterday is that the problem is something to do with the turbo causing the manifold to crack and that ford are trying to find a new supplier. Sounds like were in for quite a long wait guys.

Sounds like everyone has a different rumour!! I am prepared to wait, i just want to know WHY we are waiting!!!

Comparison to the XR5 isn't valid as there are typically delays with an imported vehicle (been there). My issue is that I was told a date and it changed without a valid reason. If they just fronted an honest reason for the delay then fine.

Not interested in the rumours either, heard so many now that they're all filled in the "heard it on the interweb so it must be true" folder.

The truth ppl would be happy with!! But they cease to make comment!!!

Fair enough though Patsy....I'm actually surprised that people are surprised, nothing ever runs smoothly with new model launches.

The problem is guys, the dealers dont know the problem. They are getting told bullsh*t, the same as the public are. I have heard on the grape vine we will see turbos in 1 to 2 weeks on the road so I imagine some of you will be getting calls in about 3 weeks to come and pick up your car.... An educated guess would be 3 weeks to 5 weeks and we will all have our new turbos....

I dont understand wht Ford doesn't set up something on their website where people who have ordered cars can log in and check up on the status of their delivery. Surely this would be more cost effective and customer friendly than dealers and 13FORD being constandly bombarded with phone calls asking them when the car is going to be ready. It would also be good if they simply reported on the delays and issues themselves honestly and openly rather than allowing rumors to spread and causing bad publicity.

I got my first BA at launch (ordered 4mths before) and that was a transition from a completely different model range much like they are now. So if they can do it then, they can do it now.


I realise this and the anger is directed at Ford HO, not the dealers. The dealers are just a customer of HO and would most likely get the same contempt. HO need to grow a set, front an honest answer and guess what? people will bloody understand, no one likes being bullsh*tted to when they're prepared to spend serious cash.

Now I just need a way of finding my SIDO since the fleet co won't hand it over until the car arrives at the dealer, what good is that farken

dave - if you know what dealer your car is coming from you can call them and ask them for the stock number

FORD HO arnt fully to blame eigther. You have to understand there predicament... there is alot riding on this car... Belive me guys there not hiding much off you people. They just want this car to be 110% ready before going out to public. That is the honest answer. Im telling you guys, you will be recieving your cars in the next month to 6 weeks.... and I bet when you do you will forget this frustration you have right now and absolutely love the car.

Spoke to someone who works at Ford today and I was told what the delay was and that they are in production as I too am waiting for a turbo.
