The Jim Beam Racing team has taken out the V8 Supercars Armor All 'Best Presented Team' award for 2007.
On the last day of competition at Phillip Island, the team gathered together to await the arrival of their team owner, Dick Johnson, who was pleasantly surprised to learn that his team had won the prestigious award.
Johnson formally accepted the award at the V8 Supercars Gala Dinner following the last round at Phillip Island last weekend and reflected on what has been a great comeback year for the Queensland-based team.
"Winning the Best Presented Team award is such an honour and I'm very proud of our team; it really gives them the recognition they deserve for all of the hard work they have put in this year", said Johnson.
Johnson added, "Without a doubt, this year has been one of the toughest tests our team has had to face and everything is certainly looking brighter for 2008 and beyond. I would like to take the opportunity to thank not only the team for their efforts, but also extend that thanks to our sponsors and fans – without their assistance and support, we wouldn't have achieved as much as we have this year".
The Best Presented Team award is judged by a panel of V8 Supercar senior officials and is awarded to the team based on elements such as car livery, overall team presentation, sportsmanship and attitude, garage and signage presentation and overall public perception.
