hey, this was posted on the street fords forum and i thought a few of us could attend.looks like a good cruise and day



After a thoroughly enjoyable and succesful Vic event, the next in our series of cruises will be on Saturday the 9th of June. We will go from the Wintersun festival at the Twin Towns of Coolongatta & Tweed Heads on the Gold Coast to the Winternationals held at Willowbank Raceway.


We will meet up in the morning at around 9am and leave around 9:30am. The number of cars that come along will help determine the exact meet up point (I'm open to suggestions here). I know this is too early to travel to the Gold Coast if you aren't already there for Wintersun, but you are more than welcome to join us along the way (and we are going near Brisbane for this purpose).

We plan to avoid the tollways and minimise use of the freeways. We propose to swing inland through Canungra and Jimboomba, up through Archerfield, down through Goodna and Cooneana, then on to Willowbank. There will be plenty of stops along the way for food and fuel as well as for anyone to catch up or join us.

Good roads for a cruise there but a caution ,the cops have been targeting the area there lately,probably because of the high biker deaths throughtout ,QLD, and they are are seen on these routes on w/ends.Also it is a long w/end and will be double demerits probably.Maybe two ways or CB radios would be handy for you guys.We ARE PLANNING to do the same trip and similar time so give a honk if you pass us as we will be in the rod going to willowbank.DION.

Didnt mean to imply there were a few cars going just meant,I was going with a mate who is coming from over west for the wintersun and willowbank and will be in a red'29 roadster..ford of course.DION.

They are expecting over 1200 cars for wintersun.If you see me there come say hello I will be doing some coverage for CRUIZINTV(CH31), HOPING TO GET some 50s to 70s customs or the unusual.DION.

nah they dont really seem like bogans. in our group there will probly b about 15- 20 cars. a fair few ba's and supercharged xr8...and a non turbo xr6 ute converted 2 turbo...should b a good day.would b good 2 get some guys from here 2 make a showing...

afterall its for a magazine and can get on a dvd
