Winterbottom out after changing to slicks and then having a clash with Max Wilson resulting in bent steering. He then ran off the road into the sandpit.

Might of been even better if Winterbottom hadn't gambled with the slicks, but yeh agree that it's good to see Fords at the pointy end again. Courtney had a blinder of a drive the last couple of laps!

Heard on the TV news Courtney got relegated to 4th after passing Rick Kelly under a yellow flag but looking at V8 Supercar website he is placed 17th.

I'd say he got penalised for driving like a maniac in the last few laps....given the equivalent of a drive-through penalty perhaps?

It's rather annoying how they interrupt the four hours of advertisements with a few minutes of motor racing

Did I miss something, I saw pRick go through the infield and miss a few corners and then block Murphy, yet there was no penalty ?
I was not paying much attention, but he finnished 3rd, so I do not see how he rectified the shortcut.

P rick Kelly had an off & cut straight through the infield & rejoined the circuit in front of Murphy...LOL

He shoud have got a drive through for that but for some unknown (Like hell the officials have turned a blind eye) reason he didn't get penalised!

I wonder how much Toll have tipped into the coffers of Avesco??

i also saw this.. off at turn 5, joins at 8, no penalty

not a bad way to gain a few spots..

He didn't gain any spots, thats why he didn't get a drive through. Apparently the drivers were told if this happened to them and they did gain spots they had to let the cars back past or they would cop a penalty. It sucks that you can make a stuff up and not loose any ground though but it's just a quirk of the track.
