I was just seeing if anyone was keen on a cruise to Airlie Beach some time in the new year. Thinking of staying over night and organising a night out for tea and drinks. If anyone in the Townsville or Mackay areas are keen drop us a line so I can start orginising something. Cheers Judd

Great to see your keen BLONK. When I get some more numbers I will start ringing around for accomodation. Any suggestions on when to have it or any suggestions in general would be great.
Im thinking Febuary 9th, 10th or 11th? Gives everyone abit of time to get over xmas and it not peak holiday time.

Hey guys I would be definitely keen for the cruise to good ol' Airlie. However late January would suit me better if possible because i start clinical rotation in Feb. Anyways im easy, let me know how it goes and i will try my best to get there!

Cruise to Airlie will be on the 10th of Febuary. Rooms at Airlie Beach Hotel are as follows:
$119 for motel room(no views)
$169 for standard room with views and balcony
$189 for deluxe rooms
The Hotel have there own secured parking that is patrolled by security through the night.
If any cars from the Mackay area are keen just PM me.

Sorry NUT I didnt see your post I said the 10th cause that was the best date for me but we could possibly change that to late January. I will be at Big Day Out in the Gold Coast from the 19th to the 22nd so that would not be a good time for me. So just give us a date and we could run with that.
I will be keen to go, and i think i could dig up another 10-15 cars i would expect, but that would depend on the date that it ends up. the tenth suits me, if it ends up suiting everyone else.

Hello Gra-Gra, wont be there on sunday, family commitment in Cairns.
It would be good if all the Mackay cars could travel together to Airlie. We will meet at Sails Sports Bar at the Mariner at 10.30am 10th Feb where we can meet and greet before we head off to Airlie. If photos are wanted to be taken now would be the time while the cars are nice and shiney. If we can leave before 12:00 that should give us plenty of time to get to Airlie, book into our hotels, meet other owners and leaving us plenty of time to enjoy the afternoon over a few COLD beers before tea.
Im open to any suggestions and would like feed back to aid in planning the cruise.

Let me know if anybody would like to stop along the way eg: stop for a drink at the Leap Hotel or go for an afternoon cruise to Laguna Queys Resort once we have met up with other owners in Airlie.

sorry BLONK havnt been near a computer over xmas. Cruise is still on the 10th FEB. Drinks in the arvy and tea at Jamaca Joes. Not sure on numbers, maybe Dave can get back to us with how many people he might be bringing.

What a coinsidence i was just considering a cruise for us Nth Qlders, hey judd you know how u said u will be staying at the Airlie Beach Hotel and there is secure parking are u sure there will be enough for everyone if say there is like 30 cars coming ?
Hopefully i can dig up some funds for this, considering i just got my bars resprayed, rego and speeding ticket :(.

Plenty of secure parking at the Airlie Hotel.. Enough for around 60 + cars....
I hope you can make it Daniel. BLONKS post is correct around 60 secure car parks with security 24hrs. It looks like there will be a few cars attending. It would be good if all the Townsville people could cruise together to Airlie, give BLONK a PM and you might be able to cruise together. Cheers Judd

Well i was thinking to maybe meet at the bp cluden as its on the way out of town, plus u can fuel up, get snacks all them sorts of things, then head off on our merry way. As for a time 9:30 or 10 should be good i reckon, but i am easy if someone comes up with a better place to meet and time post her up.

If we are keen in the arvo or something or if we all meet up in Proserpine we could head out to peter faust dam its only a short drive and there isn't alot of water out there but it is something else. Just an idea.
