Hi all,

Now it's time to have some serious fun! You guys wanted the real thing? Well, here it is.

Skirmish H.Q. Paintball.

Group booking has been made for the 2nd July.

Details:

Date: Sunday 2nd July 2006.
Session: 1pm (Arrive at least 45 mins before).
Meeting Point: BP - Coomera 11 - 11:30am.
Location: 42 John Rogers Rd, Mudgeeraba.
Duration of play: 2 hours.
Price: usually $22 per person. I will be bringing a coupon for the group, this makes the 'game + gun hire' cost half price at only $11.00 per player.

Additional costs: (this will vary depending on how many paintballs you want).

Camouflage Overalls Hire: $6.00 per person
Paintballs: $17.00 for 56 paintballs.
$35.00 for the "Rambo" pack - 134 paintballs.
$85.00 for the "Auto Blaster" pack - 400 paintballs.

The 2 hours of gameplay will consist of 3 seperate game styles to give you guys a bit of variety.

Some of the game variations may be:

"Capture The Flag": Teams have flags mounted in Fortified areas that must be captured to win the game.

"Chopper Squad": Stalk the other team and engage them in a fire-fight, eliminate their key players with a burst of paintballs, then charge forward and blow the oppositions chopper.

"Hold the Fort": Use the elaborate defences and network of smaller forts to hold your main defensive asset, the team base.

"Blow the Bridge": Beat the opposing team, take the high ground, then charge forward to detonate the bridge across the valley.

"Tank Busters": Each team has its very own real military tank that has to be defended at all cost against the opposing team. Coloured smoke grenades are used to designate hits on the enemy armour as you assault fortified positions.

"Terminator": Use all of the teams available firepower to seek out the enemy and destroy them within the time limit set for the game

3 Battlefields are set up for each session with a small break in between each game for a drink..etc.

If you are bringing children, the age is "15 or >" for Paintball Skirmish. There is however Laser Skirmish for "14 or <" at the same venue.

I can supply additional information on the Laser Skirmish events if there are people planing to take children that are 14 years or younger. No need for them to miss out and Laser skirmish is still very fun, just without the "ouch" factor.

Standard issue piant balls are not enough , go the Rambo Pack

It's "National poor weekend" by the sounds of it... The three that were coming with me now can't make it either. FFS!

There will be other people there so we could still go, just join in on one of the other teams. Last chance as I'll be calling them in the morning to cancel the group booking and say that there will be just a few of us are going, should still be a lot of fun regardless.
