f*ckn nerve rakn...but as Geea told me very addictive
Kimberley Scott
What is the hardest part, and what is it that gives you the nerves?

Scotty
SHOCK
For a first timer the fact that you get told not to worry about the other lane. This is soooo hard to do. The f*ckn helmet is a nightmare, cant hear sh*t. The fact there is a possibilty of stacking it into the wall during burnouts, very unlikely with my pissy little efforts, but I had my street tyres on and saved a few $. Moving to stage, when to stall up, how much to stall up, waiting for the other guy to stage, light are on, f*ck am I stalled enough, f*ck its the last amber, f*ck its green I'm still here, f*ck I cant believe the Evo is level at 100, f*ck hes 2 car lengths ahead, 3, 4, 5, 6...... crybaby.gif The fact you have no idea what time you ran until you are fishing around in a little pigeon coop to find your time sheet.

Apart from that Scotty a piece a piss mate.... spoton.gif
Kimberley Scott
f*ck that I would forget to change gears.

Scotty
SHOCK
thank f*ck Ive got the auto spoton.gif 6 speed is a sweet changing mother.
Kimberley Scott
Good effort mate, wish I could have caught up with you. Maybe next time.

SHOCK
Next one will definately on a Wed, should be able to get more runs in. sh*t load of racers out there tonight, might be quieter on a Wed....maybe. Next run will have K&N Filter which I got from FIST last week (tempted to wack it in tonight but wanted my stock as a rock time)and maybe 2nd CAI Typhoon snorkel I bought last week and maybe one of them metal *beep* cat thingys...time will tell on the edit and tune???$???

Johno

Im glad i stuck around johno had my 2nd and final run for the night at 10.30 after another couple of oil downs. But i got a new PB, 12.95 @ 109, im still not sure that its right though......im starting to think the time clock stuffed up or something? Its .36 and 2.5mph better than my previous time and im not sure what wouldve made the difference, maybe it was the cold weather!

Shane
Kimberley Scott
After the Winter nationals it should quieten down. I think Willowbank runs all year round. Might be wrong though.

How do you rekon your engine will respond to the 2nd CAI and K&N?

Thanks johno, honestly never thought a 12 was on the cards but im happy as a pig in sh*t! With the k&n and 2nd cai you will get a 13 ....and with only 2000k's on it. Have you thought about removing the centre muffler as well? Probably wont notice much difference power wise but it will sound a bit better, ive got the old centre replacement section from my ute if you want it

Congrats on the new PB Shane. spoton.gif

The cooler weather definately makes a difference, but I think track prep may have also played a part. I cut 4 tenths off my PB last night as well. I think that makes my car the quickest street driven BA in QLD and only a bees off Dave's record for stock internals. Gotta get that surge tank!!

Thanks mate. spoton.gif

It was an eventful night (apart from the all the farken waiting around - 2 runs in 5 hours - but at least I got 2 in - a few blokes only got 1 furious2.gif )

Firstly ran the 11.43@119.5 - happy as a pig in sh!t about that.

I managed to get back to the staging lanes for a third run and was the last car to run on the night - got to the start line - bloke taps on the window and tells me I'm dropping water.

Backed the car up and pop the bonnet - had about a 1inch split in one of the hoses near the drivers side firewall furious2.gif

No tools of course and most people had headed home (this is about 10:45pm). Thankfully a Security bloke helped me out with a torch and a screw driver and Al (cooltint) was still hanging around and had some blades in his glovebox. Cut about 2" from the end of the hose and had enough left to refit. So I fill the reservoir up with water and off I go.

Stop at the servo to put some air back into the tyres - sitting waiting for another bloke to finish with the air hose and this girl backs into me. I saw her coming and thought "She's not gonna stop!" so I jumped on the horn - good 3 seconds or so before she finally stops - after collecting my bumper - then she drives off, but stops on the other side of the servo. But guess what - the plastic bumpers are actually good for something - no damage.

Anyone remember the other thread about "Jinxed and Blessed". It's happened again! Some good, some bad, but all good in the end really. I think I'm a pretty lucky b@stard really. laughing.gif

Oh, forgot to mention that when I finally got to the air hose it was leaking - clamp was loose, so had to fix it too before I could put air in the tyres blush.gif

Hi All

The next Saturday night Test n Tune is on 15th July. Is anyone interested in going up? It's not near any major event so shouldn't be so many Drag cars to cause oil downs.

With the cooler months upon us this would be a good time to see what our cars are really capable of.

Gates open at 4pm, racing from 4.30pm.

Any interest?

There's a seven2eleven on Thurs the 13th July. I'll be out for that one. Hopefully be brass monkey weather at 11pm and maybe go a little bit quicker than 11.4 spoton.gif

There are less cars at these meets and NO full-on drag cars. All cars are supposed to have a full exhaust.
