Nothing loose in the car, in the glove compartment and centre console is alright, and nothing loose in the boot. Need drivers license as well. They prefer that the spare tyre is bolted down and not strapped down, but they let me go anyways.
As Bruce says, long sleeves, pants (geans whatever), and closed shoes.
Went last Wed to AIR to race but was canned because of the rain, 4 cars to go before I lined up, spewing.
Rescheduled for the 16 FEb....

OK Feb 16.........What time do you have to be there by?Is it a day or evening meeting?

Jan 27 2005, 08:31 AM
The Wed Feb 16 is the 4, 6, and Rotaries night. I have to race on this night because I paid for it already from last couple of weeks when it was cancelled.
Gates open 5:00pm and the racing starts at 6pm and onwards. You turn up at the gates anytime after 5pm.
If you guys go ahead for the Feb 6th though, I'll have to spectate. Might even bring a video camera as well, we'll see.
If you need more details Mr X:

Not sure how the cooling system on the BA's are, but you must have a sealed cooling system so you don't drop anything on the track.
For my car (Holden) this requires a bottle secured on the end of the coolant overflow hose (which comes from the coolant overflow reservoir already!). This is usually just a coke/water bottle with a hole driled in the lid, cable tied in place.
For come cars such as my mates 200sx, there is no hose, just a hole, and taping this hole over is deemed sufficient.
Hope this info has proved useful in some way!

16th, I'll be there...

Guys just be prepared for $50 charge to race. I know that the website says $35 or whatever it is, when I turned up, they said $50. Such that they had V8's that night too, probably because of bad turn out that day.
We'll see what the 16th brings....

That's interesting, I've been to a few Wednesdays, raced at one, crewed at others, and it's only ever been $35 when I've been. If they have upped the charge, they should at least update their web site.
The V8's have been allowed since the beginning, when Street Tuna organised for it to be so. The restriction on Wednesday nights being street tyres only, no slicks.
If it's the 16th you guys will be there now, I'll be there too, whether to race or not depends on the Mrs more than anything...

Hi guys,
I have just recieved a letter in the mail from AIR. The Wednesday night (4's 6's and Rotaries) are no longer on Wed nights, and now pushed to Sat night...
So Racing will now happen 2 Sat's per month.
What it means in the case of Wed Feb 16th, it has now been pushed to the Sat 19th Feb. Hence because it a Sat night, you pay full price, $50.
Gates open at 4:00pm, racing starts after 5pm.
We'll get there....

SA race, the guys next to morpowa are working out a rebuild for me, putting in new gears and so on, which means that i need to get a computer edit for the diff also, otherwise with different gears the car goes into limp!
Any of you guys got a helmet i could borrow??

Put vixen over the pit today to see if anything needs doing for her 15k service tomorrow..
I already knew she had a leak from the axle tube to diff center but now its dripping..
Spoke to Jarvis and we both agree that a new diff is the only solution

Feb 2 2005, 10:36 PM
Your kidding!!! they are giving you a new diff under warrenty?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!!?!??!!?!? Mine has a leak there as well, has been leaking for 10 months now!!!
They said its just a simple gasket replacement though, still doesnt look like they will do mine under warrenty but!
