Having run a successful dyno day before for a large car club I reckon it's about time we (QLD) members got together and layed some rubber on the dyno.

whose up for it?

I'll decide on a venue after I see who gets the interest.

It'll probably be a pay up front affair though.. so those who don't trust me... f*ck OFF :) 10_1_9.gif 10_1_9.gif
I might even throw a bbq.. I reckon Glenn would be good at flippin sausages!!

hit me back you rev heads!

Hi all QLD members, (and others that want to join in the fun). w00t2.gif

I would like to lay down a few simple guidelines just so we don't get this section disorganized.

Guy's please, if you have an idea for an event, by all means, let us know but please let either Ian (GOLDIE), Adam (Goose) or Myself (NA Thunder) know via Private Message (PM) or Email or post your thoughts in this thread. Don't start a thread

Please, let "Cruise Control" do their job. spoton.gif

Mattson,

Sorry dude, don't mean to steal your thunder but I ned to control this section before it does go out of hand. That's why I've decided to merge topics instead of just closing it down.

Umm, private message any ideas on this Dyno Day idea of yours to Ian, Myself or Goose. It will be a great idea. We did have a dyno day at Redcliffe Dyno and performance last year and it ws a huge success so yeah, another dyno day with the newer faces in the crowd would be great fun.

The performance buffs are wanting an event with grunt so I'm keen, just keep us updated with a PM or email and that will be great dude. Top stuff spoton.gif

Mattson, I hope you are just joking.

Seriously dude......The pics and exposure you brought to the site was brilliant and you were missed on the last cruise. As the PM stated, you're more than welcome any time.

All that Ian, Goose and myself ask is if you can run it by "Cruise Control" 1st. I did say I was interested and after discussing it with Ian, he's cool with it as well.

That's all. I'd rather members post ideas in this thread. If we feel an idea is suited and would be great to offer the other members as an 'official' event, we would start a thread (more than likely would be started by Ian) as the next 'Official Cruise' thread.

I haven't checked any timetables yet but I'm away in the US for a few weeks July / August but if we can find a suitable time, I'll offer the ChipTorque facility if you would like or perhaps you could hire the Dynosource facilty on the Gold Coast and we can provide the labour/BBQ?

Aaron at Dyno source was going to be my first stop, others would have been Rollins at Burleigh or somewhere else I haven't thought of yet!

With something as Big as a Dyno Day QSC Magazine will definately back it with a photo spread in an upcoming magazine i reckon! ;)

anyways.. keep me posted!

Great guys, keep em coming. spoton.gif

Cruise IV will be here soon enough, we did say every 6-8 weeks. blink.gif

We are going to be heavily organizing Cruise No. III as there is some research we have to continue on with to make sure you guys have a blast.

Dyno Day though sounds good. Be better than last one if we get right onto it, as the colder days will makes for better figures.

And also be more comfortable for those standing around.

Brengun,

Its quite flexible just depending on demand.

They usually like to get 10-12 people. That equates to $90-$100 per session which will usually go for 4 hours.

The instructors are really good and have a lot of experiance in tarmac stuff. You can be guaranteed of coming away with a great deal more car controll than you started with no matter what you drive.

Its professional with no smart-arses tolerated (well....to an extent) and great fun as well.

Hope your appetite is whetted a little.

Yep, I'd be in for that too.

Guys,

I have 2 things coming up in October:

One will be the "Wynnum on Wheels" parade here on the Bayside. Part of the Wynnum Spring Fesival. We know the main organizer of the event and he's lovin the BA, thinking of getting a XR6T or XR8 himself so "WOHOO"!!!

It will be on Saturday 9th October. You will be alongside PT Cruisers, Trans Am's, Caddies, Old Fords and Holdens, basically a whole heap of really s**t hot cars and hot rods, crusin the streets in one hell of a parade.

If at all possible, I'd love the big boys to strutt their stuff with the modded T's if at all possible. bb.gif

I'm looking for around 10 cars, maybe a couple of stocko's, Ian's famous "GOLDIE", bara's Blueprint N/A Ute, Mattson, your Blueprint beast? Xlr8ed, your Phantom lovely? Few modified T's would be sensational, mmm.

If you have XR8's and XR6 N/A's or GT/GT-P then w00t2.gif HELL YEAH!!! Variety is good.

Would be good to say have 2 blueprints, Acid Rush, Citric Acid, Phantom, Vixen, Silhouette, Blood Orange, HgAg, Envy, Winter white, etc.....Also I don't mean to sound cruel as we do have a lot of blueprint members and I love the colour but I would really like a wide range of colours, not just one or two. Show off the many shades of the BA, mmmm.

This will be fantastic coverage for FordXR6Turbo.com so if your interested, please PM or better still, email me and I'll let you know more info when I get it.

______________

The other October event.

The NSW boys are coming up to QLD around indy time and want to organize a joint cruise. "HELL YEAH" to that. spoton.gif

A couple of the QLD members have shown interest and have posted in the NSW section already. I'm keen to get together and do something for sure. Ian will be in NZ at the time so he has passed the torch to me.

joint cruise would be on Saturday 23rd October. What would you QLD people like to do?

Cruise? BBQ? Drinkies?
<All of the above>?

Ideas people, let's get the ball rollin'.

So far Jeff <xr6ikness> says that Saleen, Trumpy, ms700, White Tee and XRSEX are coming along.

COOL.

The young Mack (aka BAHAIMUS on some othe forums) is an instructor and will be doing two full days there this week-end.

A relative connection will ensure us of a good day if we go ahead with this.

Apologies for late reply dude. Am currently on hiatus in NSW.

Does this event at Wynnum also have a ute show, as am wondering if it's part of a Strawberry festival/Ute Show/Car Show our ute club did last year.

If so, then would say that I'd be going anyway with the ProUtes, otherwise if not then I can't see any reason why I couldn't show up for ya spoton.gif

Always keen to show off the sled, especially as part of the Ford contingent.

Cool Bara,

No they don't have anything to do with a Strawberry festival dude.

Have a few people interested already. Thw "Wynnum on Wheels" event, (part of the Wynnum Spring Festival) will be on the 9th October.

Possibly have 7-8 cars already, what would really be nice is a GT/GT-P/Pursuit. If not then a BA XR (anything) heavily modified would be a treat.

Currently have:

Blood Orange XR8 supercharged Ute.
2 x Acid Rush T sedans.
Citric Acid T sedan.
Blueprint N/A ute.
Blueprint T Sedan.
Phantom T sedan (APS III).
Winter White sedan (APS III).

Any takers out there? Email or PM me.

HellionXR6T
Haha, I might throw out another cam phasing sensor blink.gif whistling.gif

Nahh, I'll have the job of getting some COOL pics so GIMLI won't be in it.

There will be 2 mighty fine N/A's supporting "Team N/A".

Bara in his Blueprint ute and Silverbullet in his HgAg N/A sedan with the black GT style stripes. This thing has had the same RDP kit installed but mate, it kicks mine by an extra 20 HP without the hellmouth of an exhaust that mine has, same kit. I demand a recount....Hahaha damn prototypes. j/k Steve.....Nothing wrong with the kit. You just have to see Simon's car. What can I say, mine was a late slap together, Friday arvo build, Simon's must have been a Tuesday or Wednesday build.

Jeff, the Red TS-50 is more than welcome, I love that car!!!

Mattson, yep cool dude.

Man oh man, we have more than enough now, alright!!! It's the Fordxr6Turbo.com takeover.

Hahaha.

Umm, still waiting on feedback for Event No. IV, hopefully one for you performance buffs, a dyno day.

Also Scotty has provided me with some really cool info for track days out at Darlington Park. Better track conditiones, more involved events, can be a bit exy but you guys can afford it (I can't), need to discuss with CC. Darlington Park sounds way better than the originally planned, QLD Raceway event.
