Instead of barossa.. how about ponds, birdwood, mannum, over the otherside on the punt then murray bridge and then the old highway one home

That way vovo can take the freeway home and be in time for work
Jeeezz ,I still rember using the old highway to get to melbourne.If you did it in 8 hours you were a hero.What a poxy trip that used to be,stuck behind a pig truck with pig siht and psis splashing on your screen,no place to pass for hours,then ppl would pass when you shouldnt,crazy stuff back then

In the EH, on a hot summer's day, when the air conditioning comprised of winding the windows down and directing the quarter vent to force outside air into your face.....
And then you pass a truckload of sheep/cattle or pigs on the way to the slaughterhouse.... the smell was bad enough, but when they piss and sh*t themselves Something I didn't want to recollect.

sounds pretty good...but the earlier we start - the longer i can stay on the cruise....why not start earlier....yup - i'm being selfish - but i wanna go for the entire cruise and not have to pike 1/2 way through cause that would just depress me and make me wanna cry.

Voy its not actually alot of kilometers involved, it just has a good blend of twisty and straight road. you can do it in a couple of hours or four hours... if we left at 11.00 we would be back by the latest 3.00

Dont frett palsky,plenty of time..its 200 odd klm round trip and on the way back from murry bridge on the old highway,at every town there is a turn off to the freeway so you can pace yourself,turn off when you need to.
I reckon there would even be enough time to stop off at the german arms hotel,old mill even EOTH,might be the go,for a chat after it all .That way we might get Zeke to come along..

Well thats nice an close to my house!!! 1/2 a block to be exact but i cant leave till at least 1. The passenger seat handbrake wants to come and she's not off till 12:15

That gives you 15 minuites,plenty of time :lol: We would leave about one pm I would think
Any other handbrakes coming along? If there is might have to bring mine, we could put them all in vovos car for the trip

I was a passenger, whilst my older cousin was driving.

We sat on 120 mph on just about every clear section of road we found.

My knuckles were white on a couple of occasions.
Overtaking some trucks, with a closing speed of about 100 mph, and an old bozo in an Austin 7 (hgag colour too) decides to overtake without looking in the rear view mirror.

I've got a lot of near miss (and some not so near miss) stories. Sometimes I wonder how I survived my teenage years. Thank god I matured and am now a very responsible driver.

The only way I survived is by not having V8s.
