Bit of an update on the backyard.
Had some plumbing issues which delayed me a while, 2k later we're full steam ahead
Extra bit of concrete laid to accommodate the extra rows of travertine pavers
Pavers laid on top and also did the alfresco area.
Glass fence was installed yesterday with soft closing hydraulic hinges for the door.
Pretty happy so far with it all and will now be purchasing some steel to make the frame for the deck in front of the pool.
Will also be going to check out some composite decking as I'm still undecided on composite or hardwood.
Yeah man I really need to start incorporating some more flexibility training. I'm doing the bare minimum which is ok for not getting injured but I'm getting stiffer (lol) by the day so clearly I need to do more.
Hardwood gets hot too though, the new composites which are part hollow don't get as hot as the solid ones.
Also going a lighter colour helps but my main issue is maintaining it every 6-12 months.
I'm a lazy c..t
Stick with hardwood, composites are hot to walk on. Use stainless steel decking screws and use two per board to keep them flat. Use decking oil as the other water repellant stuff can't be recoated that easy.
Pretty boring how I did it actually.. either my Dad did it while he had borrowed the car or I ran over something and didn't realise when I was driving to my mates place at 430am after around 4 hours sleep for collie track day... I was very tired so its possible either way haha. First time I noticed it was loading it onto a trailer at my friends place..
Too bad I didn't do it on the track so I'd have a cool story to tell..
