  2. Great work on the house @.Stripes. looks awesome. Been busy myself last week. Front yard complete. New lawn and gardens. The only down side is the cats, already sh*tting in the garden and on the lawn. Tips to get rid of them? Got a guy in to clean up the front because it still had heaps of building waste that was left behind. The grass I got is called Palmetto grass. After. I've got it taped off ATM so no one can drive on it and better not when I take it down. I'm a grass nazi. Not the best photo. The gardens. Plants are Kangaroo Paws

  5. EOFY coming up - make it a point to treat myself each year at this time with something expensive and tax deductible. Last few years have alternated between car stuff and gadget stuff. Am thinking of putting in the order for one of these this year 1080GTX SLI i7 7700k notebook Speccing up the GPU(s) & screen while cutting the storage and ram out of the order (will source my own to save some coins) Looking at the 17" 1440 120hz g-sync screen, the 2 1080's and a raid nvme boot setup with larger ssd storage. Won't be the prettiest or most portable setup, but should last me a few decades Have bought a couple of the Metabox/Clevo lappies before - absolutely brilliant pricing if you don't mind not getting an "off the shelf - brand name" solution. Only thing even remotely comparable would be the MSI unit for $7,500 and that only has a 1920x1080 screen and misses out on the desktop CPU.

  7. Yeah mate just take a look around and see what is compatible. Something to consider is that there isn't a huge margin of overclocking between water and a good aftermarket card. The money that you spend on water cooling, even if you only buy a waterblock, may well get you into a better card that would surpass the weaker card when oc'd. Like Rab I have always used MSY and haven't had any problems with them.

  11. Nah mate. It's coming out of the basin. Car or bike it's sideways and laying rubber till the top of the hill But on a bike it's a wheel stand half way down the hill as well.

  12. Looks great - brakes and suspension (and diff) would be the 1st things I'd be looking at doing on the G6ET too. The badge placement on the rear of the FGX's stick out like dogs balls to me - other than that the look's growing on me. Front still looks like a guppie getting it up the butt though

  13. I really like the look of the FGX falcons, yours looks sweet except I like my cars lifted 4x4 spec height (stock height).

  18. Kinda. It's quick to get them, longer to maximise them. The esses are the best part of the track. If you can get to the high end of 4th (in a street falcon) whilst nailing the apexes going through them you are flying - best feeling. As it's either glory or wall.

  19. Thanks for the info guys [emoji106] Will have to buy a specific card, either a gigabyte brand or MSI as you can buy a couple of water blocks that fit 5 or 6 cards in each family

  20. **Update** The head is not leaking coolant. Its just oil. This motor leaks heaps of oil, main seals head gasket power steering pump etc. I have had the car re-tuned. 440kws @ the hubs 17psi. (ZF BFII full Nizpro stage 2 plus kit + GEN2 GTX3582r + surge + E85) My issues were tune related.

  21. Whats pissing me off: Over a month of feeling like total crap - flu, head, chest, sinuses etc. Aching and the brain feels like it's full of cotton wool - can't even be fucked checking the forums, let alone doing any real work :( To top it off - from here til the start of July is the busiest time of year. Need a farkn holiday in the sun.

  22. Sorry - was having a snooze MSY.com.au is my goto for PC parts - are as cheap as they get. The standard 10xx cards are called the founders edition - each of the brands sell/sold a founders edition (which was the nVidia reference card with their own name on it). In addition to the "founders edition" they sell their own take on the GPU, with different PCB's, designs, cooling solutions and clock speeds. Unless specified under compatibility for the waterblock (http://www.phanteks.com/PH-GB1080.html#compatibility) it's a bit of a crap-shoot - you'd need to confirm the card you're after sticks to the reference design.

  23. The term "founders edition" refers to the initial release blower style cards. With aftermarket cards the pcb is frequently different from a founders edition. Most, but not all water blocks are made for founders edition cards. As such there is a chance that the water block won't cool crucial features on an aftermarket card such as ram chips and vrm modules.

  24. Common problem chances are they weren't changed, a visual inspection will give a rough idea of age. Use the search function next time there's only a sh*t ton of threads asking the same thing. Use genuine coils only, the cheapest correctly gapped plugs are the ford LPG ones. Modded waste gate means its tuned or its Habib spec modified.

  26. Bit of background, since this is the right thread. This is my first house, bought it a year and a half ago, its a small 3 bed, 1 bath completely wog spec joint. Bought it for location more than size/newness. Has never been been modified or painted since built in 1979. No gas - only electric hot water unit in roof and old school wall heater (removed for being a fire hazard) Have done some basic electrical rework on it, new board, Clipsal saturn switches, moved switches from architrave to wall, LED downlights etc. Pictures below, since they speak louder than words: Outside of the house: Living room on move in day - light fitting has been replaced, carpet has not - yes its hideous Lovely pocket door to kitchen, this time the glass is hideous/retro Other side of living room with new furniture and some artwork to liven up the place: Hallway with the lovely 70's spec carpet and standard bachelor artwork, did splash out of the console table so it matches my dining, coffee and lamp tables (Also been colour testing in hallway) Good old Clipsal Saturn, have changed all light switches and power points and added data points Data cables in roof- (blow in stuff is booked to be sucked out and replaced next month): Study with IKEA shelving with glass doors to keep the dust out: Its going to be a big job to paint, and fix up - but its my foot in the door of the real estate market.

  28. Blinds got fitted today. Really stoked with how the master bedroom has turned out! Need to add some colour back into the main living area now with some more pictures etc. Given the old curtains actually worked really well from a sound dampening perspective (there's much more echo since removing them) I'm planning on getting some decorative sound deadening tiles to stick on the walls. You can even get pictures/photos etc printed on them, so plan will be to add some of those to improve the acoustics of the room and add colour back.
