  1. Got the Ute finished today. Finished up all the wiring. Both the 044 and the walbro intank now have there own relays triggered from the stock pump wiring (inertia/roll-over switch will shut pumps off still). Going to put a cover over the relays eventually by won't really matter once the hardlid goes on. Gave it a much needed wash. Had 1 minor f*ck up. I was wondering why the Ute wasnt idling and 044 was making bulk noise and stuttering. After much confusion I ended up having the feed/return lines back to front on the chassis rails. So swapped em round and hooked it all back up and it ran perfect. Deleted the stock filter so now it just has the earls one in the tray. Used a male and a female 5/16th hardline adaptor. And most importantly took it for a spin! Been atleast a month since its seen boost. The shocks are much nicer now softened up. The swaybar makes a noticeable different, feels much more positive. Tramp rods work mint. No binding noises. No skids yet but gave it a stab in second and it just lit them up with no tramp what so ever. Beer time[emoji482]

  6. Just a wee bit of poke....... Fronts will be right once rolled and camber is sorted. The rear rims sit flush with the guard but the pirrellis are pretty wide and I don't want to have the stretched look. I'll probably sort a b series axle to fix that, cant see the guards pumping out that much.

  7. Ok, I though I would write a a quick "how to" on replacing the stock oil feed line with an Earls filter kit. I did this while I was changing my oil so I had the oil filter removed which made it a lot easier. Start off by removing the sender cable from the sensor. Now use a long socket and remove the sender unit. This is what should be left on the car. Remove the washer and the old oil feed line and the washer behind the feed line. (unclip the old line from around the top of the engine will make it easier to move) Use another long socket and remove the adapter that goes to the block Put the adapter into the vice and inside the unit remove the clip. With the clip removed now pull the small filter out. The instructions I had said to clean it and put it back. I pulled mine out and left it out. When I put the banjo over the adapter I noticed the hole didn't really line up so I elongated the hole.     Now I'm happy the oil will flow.     Now remove the old oil line from the turbo and throw it in the bin.   Screw the adapter into the turbo to receive the braided line.   Install the adapter back into the engine. You will need to use some sealer on the threads. Screw the braided cable to the banjo. Put the washer then the banjo then the washer and the sensor back on and plug the cables back in.     Run the braided lines to the filter and tighten everything up. Make sure you take note on which way the arrow is facing on the filter when you install it! I'm currently making a bracket from aluminum that screws to the from of the engine to hold the filter.

  10. All my windows are tinted, so already have the privacy during the day...so no need for double rollers [emoji3] Sheer looks nice, but I won't be able to do that in my master unfortunately, due to the shape and the bay window (especially after I've done a box/bench seat for it) etc. I like the light grey colour, similar to the one I'm looking at. The bed looks cool, but I could see myself accidentally booting it so many times! Plus it'd make doing doggy standing up a bit complicated lol

  13. To be honest those are probably the solution I like best for my master bedroom, thanks fluff! Probably more expensive than other options, but none of the other options are really sufficient for what I want in terms of light blockout and aesthetics. Do it once, do it right I guess haha. Really liking some of your ideas for this new place too Dani, can't wait to see how it all progresses!

  14. Me too - the company has a reputation for shitty customer service - luckily I didn't cop that. Bought online from OS - was expecting to have the send the unit to China, with the expenses and time involved. Instead I got an email from their support and they organised the swap over with their local distributor.

  16. After this house where literally everything had to come up bent stairs I wanted as big of a door as possible! It's 1.2m wide lol and on a big pivot, our entrance hall is nearly 2.5m wide all the way down so hopefully gives that big grand entrance. Have specifically picked it yet but I'm thinking cornice like this Skirting like this And doors like this We have 2700 ceilings both downstairs and upstairs and the taller 2340 doors

  18. Yeah I would like to do a cruise before the day on Sun. Everytime I've been up with Adam - we're both so stuffed by the end of the day and that time of year its to dark to do any twisties safely due to wildlife and so on. So we just drive home afterwards. I'd be up for a cruise on Sat then Sun Winton races.

  20. Yeh Spiro will do a good job on anything that comes through the door and definitely why not as the tuning market is needing to expand after the two biggest tunable platforms are all but dusted now. Heck at least this Kia thingo is turbo and RWD !!!

  29. An xbox or Playstation or Harvey Norman PC is fark'n powerful and flash for 90% of the people who buy them. For a while. A custom PC lasts a lot longer - but can be upgraded later to still be powerful. (same pc from PS1 days still runs quick. PS1 is now a Lada) To add longevity (power/flash wise) to any of the above requires community, modability and desire. No one is going to spend time, nor is the community/desire going to be there to upgrade/hack the xbox, PS or HN PC - will be a new model later to swap over for. The custom PC will have parts swapped out, have the bios entered and tweaked, be broken, fixed, broken and fixed again. To me most cars are xboxes, playstations or HN PC's No matter how great they are at launch - no matter how great the specs are - that's the best they'll ever be. Some cars though - they get "Jailbreak"'d They become the custom PC versions - get tweaked, upgraded, overclocked, broke, fixed, broke and fixed again. Has the Kia got the factory or the community support to be anything other than a console or HN PC? Will it be the next WRX or EVO or FPV or HSV? Or will it be the next Hyundai Soupe?

  30. If it's powerful and reliable as well as decent build quality it might win some decent fans that are not already attached to a brand too hard - either new drivers or those that are happy to swap badges. People like myself who love Fords tragically and don't like the idea of buying another brand will be harder to convince. I respect any car can can give me a run for my money down the drag strip, but that's just me. Has to be pretty special to want to buy one...I'd love a Dodge Hellcat or Demon. As for modding the Kia Stinger for more power - if the engine has decent power it might not have much left in terms of tune-ability if it's already at the pointy end of what the components can withstand. Time will possibly bring the goods though, as we saw with B series modded power levels increasing massively from 2002 to 2008! 300rwkw and 11 second quarters used to be impressive, now it's barely worth mentioning unless it's to someone that has never modified! Luckily an 11 second car still feels fairly impressive to passengers that haven't gone for a spin in a powerful car yet

  32. Just got back from Jaycar with a bag of stuff for soldering. Am about to put together a tube amp kit for the headphones so grabbed all the bits that I think I may need. Just need to find the time now - I think it's going to be a long project.
