  1. Will have to a be long motor if the knock is in the vavle train or cams etc etc. I would have thought the turbo may have taken in a bit of the milkshake mix considering is uses oil taken from the sump. This is a horror story for ya buddy. Just got the car of yours dreams and paint started coming off, now this. Everybody feels for ya mate. Hope it all works out eventually.

  2. Nothing wrong with bargaining. For example: get a quote for removal and rebuilding a suitable patio. Take that figure to the vendor and ask him if he would rather take that from the sale price or pay for it himself to sell it in the future. Alternatively send back an offer that is subject to council approval for the patio. Imo if removing the patio is going to remove a valuable space in the property and it will cost money to do that then the property is worth less than previously thought. My figures were arbitrary but may not be far off.

  3. I've also had the problem where I wanted to burn my car or write it off. Fortunately neither has occurred lately. There are some knowledgeable people that will read this thread. Spend the time searching threads and asking nicely and I'm sure you will find an answer.

  4. My boys have got a sony tablet each to play games on. They get to use them for two hours per day while their sister sleeps. After that they go away. Any grumbling results in not having it the next day and now they just hand them over without asking as soon as she wakes up. Edit: wpmo; my phone battery seems to be dying. It feels like it is going flat quicker than usual.

  5. Last night my daughter leaves her place to drive a friend home......on their way up the street they see that some idiot has overturned about a dozen wheely bins and there's rubbish everywhere...... They drive on, talking about the senseless act of littering done for no reason..... Around the corner they see the police talking to a pair of teenagers on the footpath, don't think much of it until she returns 20 mins later..... The police car is parked off to the side, flashers and headlights on....... The cops are sitting on the bonnet, coffee in hand.....watching the same two teens walking down the road picking up all the rubbish and putting it back into the bins! Now there's a bit of karma right there....

  7. Farkn amen to that. 34 degress at 8:30 at night the other night can go jump. Ridiculousness...... Did lol pretty hard at the maggi chicken noodles. Brings so many memories flooding back. Also love whipping up my homemade carbonara. Is there any other pasta. My favourite by a country mile...

  8. Haha I'm having a couple of glasses of wine and am now thinking about reminiscing with some Maggi chicken noodles. I was to lazy to drive to Gawler (who wants to drive 80km for maccas?) to get take out so I had home made carbonara for dinner.

  10. Hey all. I'm at a bit of a stand still with my FG XR6 Turbo. It's currently running a Built Atomic engine, GTX3582R, Stage 3 process west cooler, ID1000, Big pod fuel pump. Built stge 3 ZF Auto. Running 471rwkw on 20 psi boost. Was looking to up grade the fuel system and go for 500. What is the next thing I need to do? I'm still running the stock fuel reg too, is it necessary to have an aftermarket one? Thinking about KPM 1500cc injectors, not sure on pump/reg set up.

  11. Most definitely sounds like a plan. Consider it done. Yeah remember reading a post or two awhile ago when you did your first time out there. That would be good, car is definitely pretty close to ready just some better tread and a new pair of jeans is needed. Hehe..... Hope your enjoying that six pack and cheese burger. Oi oi jetters hello...

  12. For sure mate. I've only been once but I'm aiming to attend every drag day this year bar one or two. I just read the rules, showed up with $100 (after finding no eftpos), an in date helmet and long pants and sleeves. Here's the website. Even if I can't race I'll come down anyway if you're bringing your car down. That way I can bring the family down too.

  13. If you have a wheely bin grind it up into really small parts and put each little part in there for the next few weeks. P.S. sorry buddy had a few to many bourbon and cokes for a serious reply.

  14. I could but it's not the best thing to do atm. I'll just pick up a second hand unit from the wreckers (or buy a new one) so I can participate in the cruise. I think that having the polylast bushes, 255 wide 120 tread wear semi slicks that hooked mostly and a full power, aggressive 1st to 2nd change is what farked it. There was no noise after the bush install for about a month or so and after that has become progressively worse. I've recently changed the tune to save the box but it appears I was too late for the axle/s. My ford mods are like shampoo, it won't happen overnight but it will happen.

  20. Yeah true extra on a sticky as drag strip would reek havoc on alot of car with stock componentry. I did listen it through my JBL speaker still sound pretty grindy. Hehe. Definitely not worth running the risk of bringing it home on a RAA tow truck.

  21. +1 for the connectors on the ICC as Arronm said, in particular the white plug on the back . If you grab the part of the white plug that's attached to the car and gently pull it towards you you will see the cam locks (black from memory) roll out and lock the plug sticking out. When you reinstall the ICC it will line up and reset itself. Be extra carefull to install it square, and check all pins are straight as they bend easily if its off centre a bit. 1 bent pin can make all dash lights dissappear, door open light flicker etc- all problems my alarm guy encountered. Pic of bent pin for Keith

  23. long motor is a full motor with no ancillaries connected to it (no intake/exhaust etc) short motor is just the engine block itself with pistons, rods & crank. (no head/sump etc)

  24. The GTX55 is for another build.. I have a few things to finalise on tje black car first though... We welding on the new EGT fittings onto the exhaust manifold, and we're currently waiting for it and the two 4202 exhaust housings to return from ceramic coating.. Once here, the new box, clutch, tailshaft and egt's will be installed. I'm currently looking into making a new top for the KPM 1500hp fuel module, so that I can run two terminal banks and stage the pumps.. We're apprensive of them being capable of getting to 1000hp, so I might run a boostet or change pumps. Indeed it will be. It will likely be managed by an Elite 2500.. I also collected the rear calipers the other day. I blasted them and has my paint guy weave some magic on them. The fronts should be back soon also...

  27. Just found out the block is zoned R30, meaning the minimum outdoor living space is 24sqm, so the patio needs to leave at least half that uncovered...which is 12sqm...soooo, it should possibly be ok, given the uncovered area directly adjacent to the patio is like 12sqm or so, plus all the path that runs around the rest of the house and near the washing line. That and it sits 550mm offset from the side fence, which the R-codes state is fine. So I'm hoping it should be all good to get a retrospective approval...but still gonna ask the building inspector on Monday before I do anything. Not convinced he'd sell it for 20-30k less, to be honest, remembering that I approached him about selling. I never expected to pay bargain price, but a fair price nonetheless. His addition to the contract is pretty farking carnty though!

  29. Each to there own. If I was unhappy about not having intranet I would have signed up years ago. Plus I don't want my son playing playstation online with his mates every waking minute of the day. Just something I feel strongly about. His mates actually come over and communicate face to face. Call me old fashioned just dont see the need to have it. I'm a simple creature.

  30. I'm pretty sure most of the state will have some form of nbn within the next year or two. It should be about 2 months before I can get wireless. It'll be 10 bucks a month cheaper and go about 25% faster on a good day. Woop woop soon I can stream ten tabs worth of porn at a time.

  31. Been a bit going on with the car, We finally got sometime in the car doing some logs and power runs. @Ralph Wiggum worked some magic with the tune, even had a bash behind the wheel of his old whip. Car is pushing 22 pound strong on PULP, tweaking the eboost has really brought the car alive. Still really haven't added any timing so there is still more in it. Was quite entertaining listening to the car building boost on cruise control going up Toodyay road. Gotta fix a couple of fuel delivery hiccups, then its off to get some dyno time for the E85 tune, then RaceWars. Current position of car, will be completed over the weekend. Was good as also fixed the leaking diff axle seals and the shagged centre bearing. Couple of little things to do now, the boss has been pretty understanding with this all and is giving me some leeway to get the car ready.

  35. The utes great so not sure what you're on about but don't get your knickers in a knot. I was saying, you're getting caught up around the axels. Get it running. Enjoy it and then start tinkering. It's unreal how negative you get.

  38. looks crap, sounds crap if you want to run one, just run one, but just get a tip for your exhaust instead of a universal muffler, as a universal muffler is unlikely to fit well.
